I just lost my H to an accident 2 months ago. I haven't been active on TB much since DD1s BMB, but thought maybe I might be able to find some ladies here in a similar circumstance.

Haha. Sorry I tried to update my siggy 18 times and in standard TB fashion my old from from when I tried to get in to DD2s BMB is stay hanging out...
I'm 33, I lost my H on Christmas Eve to an accident. My girls are 2.5 and 4 months, and I am currently a SAHM. Life is every much up in the air for me still. I'm going to try and stay home for a least a while and live off my social security. Two kids in daycare is so expensive it freaks me out.

Im so sorry, i cant even imagine how you must br feeling! Im mobile and cant see siggies, but. Just know it gets better. Can you apply for day care assistance for when you are ready to go back to work
Regarding child care---it is redonkulous! I could board a horse cheaper than it costs to board my kid for the day. And I'm in a really low cost of living area.
It looks like it would cost me about 2K to put them in full time daycare. The thing is if I start working I get less social security. So then basically the girls social security would all go to daycare. It seems pretty stupid to me. I'm really not sure I can make it make sense financially to go back until dd1 is in kindergarten. For sanity though I'm afraid to stay home.
Emotionally I'm not as bad as you make think. Having to take care of the girls means I have to get up, I have to make meals, I have to function. I have sad moments, but as I've told people many times, that crawl in a hole sleep all day and sob sort of grieving would be a luxury.
The girls are a on state insurance and I am on obamacare. I should look in to WIC. DD1 goes to 2 y/o preschool twice a week and I'm looking in to grants for next year.

I totallyunderstand. Hugs for you it does get better. Im glad your able to stay busy. Im sure there are times all you want to do is lay in bed and cry, but i give you props for plugging along and not.
I still recomend talking to someone, a counselor, a religious affiliant in your life, a good friend, a family member, hell even talk to us.
I find talking about things can be extremley theraputic.
