NBR birthday RSVP help

DD will be 6 March 30 th. I'm due the 27 th. I booked DD1s birthday party for next Saturday the first. I sent invitations home with her whole class the first week of February with an RSVP by date of this past Friday. Out of 20 kids in her class I've heard yes from 3 of them. With my two and a few cousins I have 9 kids. I invited 25 (the limit for the open gym party at the Y) So now my question is since I haven't heard a single "no" how many do I plan for? Why do people have to suck at RSVP s?? I even put "feel free to text" because I know it can be awkward to call someone you don't know. Anyway sorry this is longand random but how do I plan? Food, party favors, place settings etc?

Myla Grace was our little gift, BFP first month off the pill arrived on her due date 12/16/10 BFP number three August 4, 2013 Due March 27, 2014

    Unless you want to plan for the majority and potentially waste a ton of money if they don't show, you'll have to contact each person to find out their answer.  It does suck and people that don't RSVP piss me off, but you really don't have many options.

BFP #3 7/4/13 8DPO EDD 3/22/14, DX Gestational Diabetes @14 wks. started insulin @16 wks.  Our rainbow, born 3/19/14 @ 39wks 6d., we're so in love!

    We are doing the same thing. DS bday is 3/24 he will be 5. We are having his party on the1st too. Luckily we got a lot more RSVPs only one no. I'm taking the ones that didn't call as a no.

    Can you post a reminder to respond at school tomorrow for the parents to see?

    If you want the most accurate number, you'll probably have to send a reminder to school with your daughter for her classmates and/or contact the other parents. Knowing little kids, half of the invitations probably didn't even make it home.

    Do you have to pay per child? Can you add additional children if more show up than you expect? My SD is 6 now too, but for her 5th birthday at a bowling alley we had the same problem. We just paid the "standard" fee for 10 bowlers, and they let us pay for any additional people that showed up on the day of the party.

    I really have no way to contact the parents. I asked the teacher for a class list 2 months ago and after saying she had to check with the administration first I got a list of first names only. I guess I'm going to have to wing it and hope I can return what I don't use. Except food of course.

    You mentioned text and call in your post - did you also provide an email address? For DDs bday party, not a single person called or texted, most emailed. Maybe provide that as a follow up? Good luck, it does suck when people aren't considerate.
