Neither. The demi panel was fine for a couple of weeks but then started getting really uncomfortable and the full panel won't stay up. I bought side panel jeans and they should last just fine until summer weather.
Thank you so much ladies!! I tried on the secret fit belly yesterday and it didn't fit me right.. I don't have enough of a belly yet, but I have too much of a belly to wear my regular jeans with a Bella Band any longer. I think I'll try the Gap 1969 Demi panel next
I have a few types of maternity jeans. The problem I have is i am TINY so it's hard to properly fit any maternity jeans. I have 3 pairs of jeans that fit. The first is a pair of old navy side panel jeans i like these the best but they are skinny jeans and I don't like skinny jeans. The second pair is a pair of thyme jeans with a 3 part panel(full panel but you can roll the panel down) these are alright but again...skinny jean. The third pair is a pair of plan in the pod Sold jeans, full secret fit panel (which is ok because it's sheer/thin stretchy) these are really nice jeans very soft and stretchy and flare, they are just long which sucks in flat shoes.
I have a few other pairs, another pair of pea in the pod but they fit to loose and another pair of thyme but they are also to loose. it's amazing how certain pairs of jeans within the same brand fit so differently. I'm only 10 weeks along though so I guess I can't expect maternity jeans to fit super great right now...
Full panel, definitely. The demi panel I have shows an awkward line right in the middle of my belly and makes me look like I have a bunch of fat instead of a baby bump. It's probably better when you're further along, but by that point the demi won't stay up very well.
I'm 17 weeks tomorrow, have tried on both and demi is where it's at. The full panel just felt soo awkward and I couldn't keep it up. Gap has some great demi options that look and feel like normal jeans, just more comfortable.
I bought both, but the demi lets some fat roll over, so it definitely gives me a muffin top - sides and front. But it was on a crazy good sale, so I paid somewhere ~$15 for them.
I usually like mid rise pants so the full panel is just more comfortable for me. With the demi, if feels like everything is hanging out and as if they might fall down.
Keep in mind, most of the secret fit pants you can fold over the top and double it up when you're still smaller. Ends up feeling like a super stretchy mid rise pant.
I have a question if anyone can answer. I have a job where I have to wear black dress slacks and tuck in my shirt. How does that work with maternity pants? I'm about to go shopping but just realized if the pants reach up pretty far I won't be able to tuck in my shirt, at least not without looking funny :S
@mikescutie7 you can make it look like your shirt is tucked in by folding your shirt under at the bottom. It's not a great option since the shirt unflips and it doesn't REALLY look like the shirt is truly tucked in but if you discuss it with your boss they may say that is good enough for now.
Looks like I am in the minority but I HATE full panel. The only maternity pants I've found that I actually like are from The Gap. Problem is that they're $75
I wore the Old Navy low panel ones my entire pregnancy with DS. I did have a couple pair of work pants that were full panel, but for the most part I hated having the extra fabric on my stomach...it was a gross feeling for me. (I know, I'm strange.)

Your work should be able to make an exception for you though
