He can crawl but he prefers rolling??? I've never seen a baby do that before him. He rolls very fast across the room to get what he wants. He's a weirdo.
Hmmm... Whines until mommy picks him up. He used to roll, but hasn't in weeks. He sits great and often looks like he's about to crawl, but then gets freaked out. He's starting to stand up holding furniture or me so I think he might end up just going to walking.
Another pet rock. Honestly his big brother and the other little boy I babysit dote on him so much and bring him everything he wants so he has no incentive to move. He's got it good and he knows it. He sits really well and can roll through to tummy to teach something if his little servants aren't helping him.
Another pet rock who loves her mommy taxi, but she has started pushing forward from sitting to rocking on all fours so crawling is just around the corner. She can pull to standing and stand with support.
He is army crawling now. (He can get up on his hands and knees but doesn't crawl that way yet.) This is pretty new; he started about a week and a half ago. Before that, he was just rolling all over the place.
@gigglejiggle Lo was 12 days overdue and 46 hours of labor so he's been a lazy guy from the start! He does love watching everything the big boys do but he doesn't seem to be in a hurry to join the fray. G was all over the place by now so it's weird how different kids can be, even from the same gene pool.
Crawling, unless she's feeling lazy. Then she flops her arms at her sides and scoots around with her head on the floor. I don't know how she doesn't have some serious rug burn.
I put rolling because its his fastest means of transportation. He can get across the room quick! He just started pushing up on his hands and kinda inch worming/army crawling not sure how to describe it either its not as efficient as his roll.
Also I saw something interesting on the may board about crawling. One pedi had mentioned a decrease in crawling since the back is best came about. Makes sense to me.
A army crawls to get around. If she is laying down she cannot get into a seated position. If she is sitting she can lunge forward and get onto her tummy. She can pull up with assistance.
She does a combination of crawling and scooting. It looks funny. DS crawled normally, so I laugh when DD does her scoot crawl. She has also been attempting to walk along furniture.

That mental image made me giggle!
The actual image is even funnier.
