nursery decor w christmas lights?

Has anyone found a cute and safe way to decorate a kiddo's room with Christmas lights? I love the look. It feels so cozy!

The hubs brought home flowers from the farmers market once in a cool bottle. I kept it wondering if I could put a hole in it, put a string of lights in and use it as an eclectic lamp. That seems safer to me than hanging them.

I also thought about lining the walls where they meet the ceiling.

Any ideas? I'd love to see pictures. :)

    Yeah I think the risk would be if they were within babies reach and other than that it's perfectly safe.

    As long as its high enough that the baby can't reach them it should be fine.  The biggest issue is that the lights on a string could be a choking or safety hazard (sort of like the strings on window blinds).  You'll also want to make sure they are secure so that they don't fall down the wall.

    I used a string of the fancy outdoor lights for patios (Target) and have them plugged into my regular overhead light with a dimmer (my husband is an electrician and switched out the overhead light so it has a bulb and a plug so there are no hanging cords. It has been really nice, My oldest is 3 now and they are still up there.

    I made a light up marquee letter for our nursery using globe string lights from Target. It's definitely bright so we'll have to use a dimmer but I think it will look very cute on the wall.

    My ex boyfriend in high school's mom was really good at design and she always had a big vase in the corner of the living room filled with white Christmas lights! It was so cozy and pretty. Obviously they need to be out of reach of baby in the nursery.
