What's good this weekend, ladies?

DH and I dropped C off with her Grandmaman and Grandpapa this morning.  We've done grocery shopping (alone!!) and I got in a nice nap after lunch.  We're about to leave for a grown up meal at the local Irish pub and will then come home, curl up on the couch, and watch "Man of Steel", which neither of us have seen yet.  Tomorrow morning we're going to work on painting the upstairs, have lunch, and then go pick up our baby girl.  I love and miss her, but oh my lord it's nice to have a break, both of us at the same time, together.  Plus, it's good practice for her as she'll be staying with them for a night when Charlie is born.

    DH and I cleaned up our disgusting back yard yesterday. It was nice to get outside in the warm, snow/ice free weather to clean up old leaves and the random garbage that blew through the yard. DH also burned two paper boxes full of old receipts/papers that we've had by the back door for a month now. I have been on a huge purge/organize/cleaning kick lately.

    We also are getting DS (who is 4) settled into his big boy room.

    DS #1 born January 2010. DS #2 due June 2014.

    Going house hunting again today. Hoping and praying we find something so we can get started with preparing for the new baby. I feel so behind

    Yesterday I told my side of the family what we where having. Then today we are telling all my husbands side of the family. I wrapped them in boy and girl tissues paper and put pink and blue ribbon on them. Everyone seemed to love opening them. Later today I will put the pic up on Facebook and leave a link for everyone to look at them. It's nice to tell the family seeing how I knew for about two weeks. My family really liked my idea of how I told them.

    DH and I went away for the weekend together! Probably our last weekend away before LO is born. Visited BRU for the first time and registered for baby stuff :-) also got a stack of new to me books and ate delicious food all weekend. On top of all of that our hotel room got bumped up to a suite and the weather was in the 60s all weekend!
    Now we are home and I'm planning on going to bed really early with my books.

    Eta: Congrats @JujuB22!!! I wish you and your new DH all the best!

    Wait...what did you wrap up? I kind of hope you mean your family members!




    It should of said I wrapped the pictures in tissue paper. Sorry posted it when I was on my IPad and did not see the mistake.
