Sleeping on back

So little girl will not stay asleep if she is laying flat on her back. She just struggles and can't stay asleep. I did not have so much as a crib bumper with my son and now I'm contemplating letting baby number two sleep in a rock and play next to my bed. She sleeps like a rock when on a slight incline. Anyone else have this issue? There are no signs of reflux or pain/discomfort.

    My LO is 2 weeks old and has only slept in the rock n play. I feel it's safer right now, and will transition to the crib later. I did the same with my older son and it was a fine transition.

    My LO actually rolls over so he's sort if on his side. I keep putting him on his back, but he doesn't seem to care for it.

    I'm going to try the incline tonight and if that doesn't work, we are doing the RNP until she gets over this phase.

    I say do the RNP if it works. I'd just let her nap in other things during the day as too much time in any of the same positions can result in a flat spot on their head, and I know that's one of the major complaints people have about the RNP (although I love mine and that hasn't happened with either of my girls, and both have spent a lot of time in them!)

It is enough to not make her have that falling sensation, but it doesn't put her so upright that she has to sleep somewhere different. That said, I've heard of plenty of parents using a rock n play for sleeping--I say do what works for your family.

    We use the folded towel under the bassinet mattress too. LO will actually sleep in it now!

    What age did you transition your son?
