I am undecided. If the twins are both boys, one will be Henry. We talked about the possibility of Hank becoming a nickname, and haven't decided our thoughts on that.

NMS. I like a lot of the "older" names, but I feel like some of them are cool again and some are not. This, to me, is in the latter category. And the sound of it is just very unappealing to me.
I am not a big fan of the nickname-as-proper-name thing. It's fine as a nickname. His whole life the kid is going to be asked "Is that short for Henry?" and he's going to have to say "It's just Hank" a million times. Trust me, I know people with nicknames for names.?
Ironically enough, I like Henry but not Hank. My dad had a good friend named Hank. He was a welder who would spit chew (sp??) into a tin can all day. ICK.
TTC #1 for over 5 years - too many to count IF treatments (tried everything and anything), repeat miscarriages.
Finally, Sticky Success!! B/G Twins arrived 2011.
My best friend named her son Hank. Her grandfather (who was a big influence on her life) was George Henry and she wanted to honor him. Her brother's wife was pregnant at the same time and they had said if they had a boy (which they did) his name would be George so that was out. They didn't liken Henry for some reason. His name is Hank Andrew which sounds like a baseball player to me! He is 2 and the name suits him. Although I will have to tell you that we all call him Hankie or Hankerz and sometimes even Hank the Tank. So if you can't deal with "Hankie Pankie" don't name your kid Hank.
It's not my favorite name, but it's grown on me. Her daughter's name isn't my favorite either, but again, it's grown on me and they aren't my kids. I'm sure not everyone will like the names my hubby and I pick out either.

Hank is not a name. It is a nickname for Henry and I hate it. We named my son Henry. He will not be called Hank as long as I can help it. I have an uncle Henry who was never called Hank. Barf.

I like the name Hank. ?I am partial to "old man names" ?:) ?
And I don't think its a DOG name, my male Boxer's name is Hank, but I think its still a persons name.?
Why is Henry not an option? lol?
