WHAT??? I ate all those things when DD was nursing. We never had any issues with gas or colic. I did try to drink decaf instead of regular coffee and limit to one a day, but that's it.
You should start eating normally and only cut things out of your diet if your LO has issues. Soy, dairy, wheat, nuts, seafood, are usually the first things to cut out.

Honestly, I didn't avoid any foods while BF-ing and DD didn't have any issues. That said, in the Fb group for my DD, a few other BF-ing Mom's mentioned that their babies experienced some issues that the Moms thought may be due to food, so the Moms altered their diets, but it seemed rare. I ate all the foods!
I never avoided anything other than access caffeine and alcohol. My daughter did fine. I know it really depends on the baby's sensitivities, but I wouldn't worry too much about it unless you run into issues.
Both of my babies were sensitive to milk protein until about six months. My first wasn't nearly as severe as the second. With my second I literally had to read every label to be sure it didn't have any dairy ingredients at all. I felt like I couldn't eat much of anything! With my first I just couldn't do milk or ice cream or anything like that. Hard cheeses and dairy ingredients in other foods didn't seem to bother him.
I think broccoli seemed to make one of them gassy, but I ate everything else. I even had one cup of coffee with caffeine some days and it didn't seem to affect them at all.
I ate all of those too with both kids! Onions gave DD gas, but were fine for DS.

Pinterest is on my nerves tonight. Don't cut anything you normally eat and enjoy unless you run into problems. Obviously moderate things like alcohol and caffeine, but eat like a normal, ravenously hungry lady.

Are those things common culprits of gas, heartburn and reflux? Sure. But that doesn't mean ALL or ANY of them will affect your LO. Every baby is different. My DS would get gas when I ate broccoli, but nothing else from that list.
You should eat normally and only avoid excess caffeine and alcohol. If your LO has an AR/gas problem, begin with a food log (even just a mental one) of what you ate and see if there was something- maybe from this list- that could be the cause.
Depends on the baby. My son, I could eat anything. I have friends though that had to skip some of those things bc they would make baby gassy or aggitated.
I agree with MamaLlama's advice. Most babies will do fine with anything you eat, so unless you or your husband have food allergies I'd eat all the food. My baby had bad colic, and when you're losing your mind you're willing to try anything to make baby calm down. Keep this list tucked away for things to look out for if you're having problems. Like PP said, the most common allergies are dairy, soy, eggs, nuts, shellfish & gluten. If there's blood in the poop, start with eliminating the allergy list (or just dairy & soy, which are the most common). If baby is gassy, pay attention to things on that list.

Whhhhaaaaa??? BUT Pinterest knows all! It's like ... the answer to the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe, and EVERYTHING!!!!111!!!!
Totally depends on the baby. Nothing seemed to affect my son so I ate and drank normally (avoidng excess caffeine and alcohol like PP said). There are babies affected by these things more than others, you just have to pay attention. I would say eat normally until you think there might be an issue.

Totally depends on the baby. DS reacted to almost everything I ate for the first 10 months. I was literally eating steamed chicken, steamed veggies, and plain potato chips (for the fat) till he was almost 8 months old. I am really hoping I don't have those restrictions this time around.

I agree that it depends on the baby. I ate normally and DD never had an issue. My drs told me If she seemed upset by something it generally takes 24 hrs for whatever you ate to get to them so think back to that and experiment with eliminating things. (Not like I could remember that far back during sleep deprivation. ..but that's what I was told.)
Not much to add, that looks like more of a list of things that can likely be the issue *IF* you have problems. DD was dairy sensitive and green veggie sensitive so I had to be careful about those, very careful with diary until almost a year. Keep on with normal eating but if you find you are having a fussy baby start scratching things from the list. I do have a friend that has a son who can't handle probably everything on that list. Her diet is very bland for now but she's doing well and is willing to keep it up.
It does depend on the baby. I had to cut out a few times for about 6 weeks with my daughters but didn't have to adjust my diet at all with my son. I breastfed the girls for over a year each and once they hit about 6 weeks or so, I was able to start eating normally again. I just tested it by eating something and seeing if they were gassy.
I could have printed that list for my groceries! Those are the foods that make up the majority of my diet.
Seriously, like PPs said, don`t start eliminating until baby is here and you notice issues.
A co-worker of mine had to eliminate milk products, which was a PITA for her, but that was a specific allergy to a specific baby. She is now nursing her second without issues.
I did avoid alcohol in the first 3 months or so, until DD was sleeping for longer periods, and even then I limited to one drink/night. Even that wasn't often, but I'm not a big drinker anyway. I also chose to only have minimal coffee (1 cup or so/day)
I went by DD reactions to what I ate. I love spicy food...but that made her colicky...so I stopped. But I are and then observed her after she ate and then would decide whether it was safe or not.

I have heard that peppermint can dry up milk but a little will not affect a well established supply.
