The EEG and MRI were normal. The doctor was actually very surprised the MRI was normal because his mutation is associated with brain defects. He feels DS2 has a very mild case.
This however, provides no relief of the head slamming.
Next up, the opthalmologist and physiatrist and a helmet. Oh and some new essential oils for treating headaches.
To my boys: I will love you for you Not for what you have done or what you will become I will love you for you I will give you the love The love that you never knew
My kid started head slamming a few months ago. It got so bad the school called us to pick him up a couple of times because they were afraid of injury. We ended up seeing a Devp pedi who suggested seeing a GI. It seem that even going daily he was not emptying which caused him to be very constipated. He had 10 times the amount back up. He had to go on a 3 day cleansing and since then he's been doing well.
I just wanted to share, since GI problems were the last thing I associated with head smatching.
Re: Update
I'm not familiar with his mutation.

Good luck! Hope they can find the answer.
