Hello! My son William is 9 months old and we were just told by his ENT that he needs this surgery to correct his subglottic stenosis, causing 80% obstruction in order to decannulate him. He wants to do a single-stage LTR, using ear cartilage grafting. Long story short, he's had a trach since he was 17 days old, due to idiopathic difficulty breathing (not present at birth, he got sick and was intubated at 10 days old) and we are just being told this now! I'm very overwhelmed. Anyone in the same boat or have any info to share? Thanks!!
