We took our kids to the one in Kansas City. They loved it, I would say two days is plenty though. Te food on site is rather average but not bad. They serve beer at the water park cafe which my husband thought was awesome.
We have been quite a bit we live 30 minutes from one. We only go for one day. It gives you more than 24 hour access to the watermark which is plenty. My kids love it.
Be sure to check the reviews on tripadvisor for your specific one. We were planning on going and the reviews were horrendous for our local one (PA). It did look like a lot of fun and I was disappointed the lodge isn't properly cleaned.
We took our kids to GWL last year. It was nice because it was indoors (it was too cold outside), but it was pretty small. It wouldn't have kept my kids busy all day. They lasted a couple hours, then they got bored. Overall, the kids had fun though (3 and 1 at the time). DD could go on the two tiny slides and one family slide. There was only 2-3 other slides besides the ones she could ride.
We have been a few times to the Niagara Falls one. We started last year when DD#1 was almost 2 and DD#2 was a few weeks old. We go for two days because with little ones we like to have our room to go back to. When my kids are older and want to stay in the park all day then maybe one day will work. We usually do a few hours in the park area the afternoon we get there. Then we get changed up for dinner in the buffet. After dinner we play in the arcade then finish up the night with kids club and story time. On our second day we go to the park a few hours, eat lunch and take a nap back in the room. We go back to the park after nap for a few more hours. We get the all inclusive plan for food. I like not having to worry about leaving for food. We don't live far (1hr) and we all enjoy just having fun together.
I've only heard people talk about it on here and like @letranger I thought they were all talking about the same one. What are they? A resort with a water park?
Yes! They're opening one in mass. This spring! Thinking of doing a early sat-late Sunday trip with a few families. The reviews are great for some. Lousy for the poconos though!

Have you been to Coco Key in Danvers? It is very similar.

AHH Stuck in the text box.
You are right! GWL is definitely bigger. I did not know if you had been to CCK and it is fun with all this snow around. I am looking forward to GWL opening, especially since my youngest is getting better swimming.
