We are supposed to get together with a good friend of mine that has 3 young kids. She said her youngest (2) had the stomach virus yesterday, but is fine now. She wanted to be fair and give me a heads up (which I truly appreciate) before we come over. I am really stomach virus phobic. I am tempted to reschedule for when the kids are not just getting over being sick (which is like never). Am I being ridiculous? Would you go (into a possible germ fest) or pass? **UPDATE** My friend's other two kids woke up in the middle of the night barfing. Good call, Parenting, Good call

When E had it she was sick as a dog on day 1, perfectly fine on day 2, went back to daycare on day 3, and had thrown up twice and been sent home by Noon. Days 4 and 5 DH and I were suffering through it.

So tl;dr hell no I wouldn't go. That virus is highly contagious and they're not rid of it after one day.

Bummer her other kids got sick but it made the decision easier. We had a stomach bug that DH got on a Monday, I got on Tuesday and ds1 didn't get it until friday. That shit had staying power.
