OPK recommendations for my sister?

I never did OPKs, but my sister is about to do a monitored femera cycle. She's used wondfo's in the past but wants a name brand this time. Recommendations?

I used a combo of digital smiley faces (I would only use one to make sure that the wondfo was accurate). Also, I don't use the wondfo brand, I actually use "Babi" brand. They are very similar to wondfo. Good luck to your sister!

I used the Clear Blue Easy digitals. They were much easier for me to interpret than the ones with the lines - I would stare at those forever trying to discern if one line was really darker than the other! I ordered from Amazon. That said, I think different people respond differently to OPKs. She may need to try different kinds to figure out what works best for her.

I also used the Clear Blue Easy Digitals. I hated the ones with the lines, but that's just me. The digitals are more expensive, but you can get a box with 20 test strips (should last you 2 cycles unless you are testing a million times a day) for about $13 I think, and they do have coupons in the box a lot for next time you buy them. One word about femara also, I found that I had longer cycles on femara, so I detected an LH surge a couple of days later in my cycle than I did during unmedicated cycles.

I am pretty sure I had false positives with the smiley ones, so I went back to the lines. After one or two cycles, I got pretty good at reading them -- I used First Response.

Clear Blue also has an Advanced OPK that monitors estrogen in addition to LH. It shows flashing smiling face during days of estrogen rise to help indicate the window of fertility. I only have experience of using Clear Blue OPK for one cycle. I was worried about trusting the digitals so I also started testing with the harder to interpret two line versions too. For what its worth, they both turned positive on the same day. I will probably do both again next time.

We have used the clear blue easy digital monitor, the digital sticks, and the the wal-greens brand. All seem to produce fairly consistent results!

About the walgreens brand, just a personal story: a friend of mine never turned an opk positive. She and her husband tried for over a year. Eventually they went to an RE and got pregnant with clomid, trigger and an IUI., She gave me her extra walgreens opks.

A few cycles ago, I had a glaring positive on the babi brand (cheapie), a smiley face on the digital, a high reading on the monitor and the walgreens opk was negative. I sent her a pic to reassure her that it wasn't her! Just wanted to give you insight on my experience with the Walgreens opks!
