Just a quick what would you do?

My parents are coming into town. My dad has a cold and my nephew also has a cold. Should we keep LO away from them or just go over to my sisters house anyways? My LO just got over a cold she had for about 10 days. WWYD?

My baby is around a ton of colds at daycare so I would just go to your sisters house. I may be in the minority but I do not keep people from my LO because they are sick. I haven't had anyone around him with the flu yet but plenty of family and friends have had colds and they have been around my LO.

I would probably go and make sure they don't cough or sneeze on your LO and then just wash her hands good once you leave. Colds this time a year are unavoidable. My 3 year old has gotten colds but never passed them along to his brother. I'm sure that he doesn't get too close to him though when he is sick.

Personal preference but a cold is barely a blip on my radar. Daycare kids are rarely without a cold and I know staying away from illness is a definite perk to staying home but it's something lots of us just don't bat an eye at. Sounds like your parents don't live local so I definitely wouldn't keep LO away from them for something minor.

If it were me personally, I would go anyway because my LO is constantly getting sick from daycare, so no big deal if he gets the sniffles. If my LO were not in daycare, I might feel differently. I'm not sure what your situation is.
