I just got a FedEx delivery - someone ordered our high chair off of our registry, but the gift message got cut off so I have no idea who sent it.

I have one suspicion based on the half message so should I call and ask if it was them? What if it's not? Do I post something on FB? Wait and see if anyone asks if I got it? I always make it a point to get thank you notes out asap so this is really bothering me.

Can you look on the registry for help? I know Amazon keeps track of who ordered off your registry and puts together a thank you list to make it easier. Lifesaver.

I would call customer service for whatever store/website they bought it from and see if they can give you the message. They might not be able to release the person's name, but I don't think they should have a problem with at least giving you the message that was supposed to accompany the gift.

And Toys R Us can't tell me anything without the purchaser's zip code. Well, if I knew that then I would know who bought it, and I wouldn't be asking you for that information now would I? Alright ladies - any other suggestions?

@Kitchencolors I agree - FB is tacky as shit. And I did escalate it. They had to open a case file and someone should be getting back to me within 48 hours which I think is a load of crap.

@Chellbell20 there is no address other than Toys R Us corporate, Toys R Us return center and my own.

There is literally NOTHING on the packing slip that indicates who purchased it.

I would not Facebook it.
If you are super close to the person you think sent it (very very close) then maybe ask them, if not close then I would try tracking the purchaser base on your registry. They may be able to narrow it down for you.

We had a glider sent to us missing a note (before we even had a registery) an it took a few days to figure out it was from the in laws. I feel your frustration. Good luck.
