weight watchers mom's come in

I'm back on my weight watchers kick. I need to get this weight in check before this kid turns one and I still look pregnant.  I'm making tacos tonight and the recipe I have for the Mexican rice I made is 8pp. So that's not gonna work, so I am looking for a new recipe and they all call for brown rice which DH will not eat. How many PP is white rice when subbing for brown in a recipe?

  • Such a great idea. I get a bunch from pinterest,  skinny taste and laaloosh. I feel like I need simpler recipes and crockpot friendly ones.

  • I'm on Weight Watchers too. I've been bad about tracking the last couple of weeks. I need someone to keep me accountable for that!
  • I want to loose weight before getting pregnant again.
  • I'm on Weight Watchers too. I've been doing great with my workouts but terrible with my diet. A check in sounds great!
  • I don't workout because i don't like sweating, lol. So weight watchers always seems to work best for me.

  • Does anyone use the weightwatchers app? Or other apps to help with weight loss?
  • I use the app. I really like the barcode scanner. Super easy!

I use the app too. I haven't tried the scanner feature yet but I'll have to check it out!

It really is great. I use it all the time. I just love scanning things to see how many points it had whether I eat it or not.
  • I have done weight watchers off and on for years, including now to lose the baby weight. I've lost 40 lb with WW Online since starting 6 weeks post partum and almost 70 lb total! I've always done online only BUT just found out if you go to the meetings and maintain your goal weight for at least 6 weeks you get a FREE LIFETIME membership!!!! Why didn't I know this before? After baby #2 I'm going to go to the meetings and get that membership!
  • I'm doing ww online for the past two weeks (3 weeks on Sunday). And have lost 7.5 pounds so far. Everything else I tried hurt my supply except this and the app is really easy to use. I love the recipes on the app! I would definitely participate in a check in :)
  • So I tried to do the ww app and you have to be an online member. I'm not a current member I am using my book, calculator and other tools from when I was a member previously.  Besides my fitness pal, What other apps are good?

  • I would do a check in too. With all the snow days I've had recently it made it harder to track because I just snacked in the house with LO all those days.  BUT I'm re-committing and trying to track.  I would also like to lose before LO's first Birthday.  We could all set up LO Birthday goals? Like a certain percent before the big day? So we look better and healthier in all of those photos. And feel better about ourselves and are happier for our LO's yadda yadda yadda. :) Pictures ladies, think of all those pictures? j/k but not really.

I like the idea of checking in with recipes and ideas, but we should also check in with total percentages and pounds lost in a week.  I'm getting pumped thinking about this in all honesty. Bad idea?  This could totally give us a comfortable avenue to talk about struggles and focusing etc. I don't know if you guys can tell but I'm a fan of this check in idea for sure.
  • So a friend mentioned this app https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/ultimate-food-value-diary/id483910781?mt=8 Ultimate food value diary it's $3.99 but is just like ww with out joining ww and having to pay. It calculated points and everything I think I'm going to do this one.
  • I wouldn't have anything to report today personally, but there's nothing wrong with putting it out there for everyone to see that we're making this official. We could announce it officially?  Monday would be a good regular check in day, even though that is right after the weekend lol. I weigh in on Saturday mornings. But I'll check in with what Saturday told me whatever day we decide to do the check.

Yes! Sounds like a good way to keep on track.  I'm not a meeting person so I think this would be a good way to be accountable, share tips etc.

I can do the first check-in post today unless people think it would be a better idea to wait until Monday (because everyone knows diets all start on Monday)

Love this idea! However,  we do not own a scale at home. I just go based off of clothes fitting or if I had too much crap/junk to eat. Lol. I hate scales. I think they make me obsessive.
I'm all about snack, recipe swapping, recommendations though.  Just found a good sweet tooth snack.....dark chocolate multi grain cheerios are 3 PP for 3/4c. Yum. Plus, 2.50 for a box at Walmart and had a .70 off coupon
