Boob Biting

...and not in a fun way.

If your little one was a serious boob biter when eating how did you deal with it?  Little Prime has been ruthless to Mrs. Prime's boobs lately.  Last couple days he's been laughing hysterically when he does it.  She is trying not to overreact, but the biting just seems to be getting worse.

  • Also, is Little Prime biting after nursing for a while? Might be that Little Prime is playing, because he's no longer hungry.

  • Often times they do it for experimentation and usually means they are done. Have her take baby off as @monkeybabe said.

  • I'm not sure the timing of it during the session.  I mostly just get reports of it.  I'm not standing there watching.  I'll suggest ending the feeding.

    He could be teething too.  He's nipped during previous teething spurts, but nothing like this.

    @MrsButt he is 9 mo

  • Biting gets you put on the floor. It took about 2 or 3 times to kick in, then never again.

  • This thread makes so much sense.

    A family member posted on Facebook recently that her daughter is evil because she bites her boob and then laughs. She said that no matter how much she flicks her in the face she just won't stop biting and just thinks it isfunny.

    Uhm wut?

  • In our case it meant DS2 was done and just wanted to play. I had to watch him very carefully for signs that he was done then get him off of there ASAP or he would chomp.
