XP: Appointment Update

Not great...well, pretty horrible. That pretty much sums up my appointment. I am showing a lot more eggs than Saturday's appointment (I only had 9 or 10), which is great. My doctor was happy about that. However, they aren't growing very much. I've been on the max dose of Follistim since Wednesday and my eggs look like they should on CD3. My doc is quite concerned about this and I will be starting Menopur tomorrow in addition to the Follistim. There is now a small but very real chance that we won't be able to use my own eggs. I'm scared, anxious, insanely angry at my body and our situation, and somewhat devastated after my appointment. I go back again on Friday and I'm praying that the eggs have responded favorably to all the meds. I never in my wildest dreams imagined that I would have this problem to worry about on top of everything else. I just feel so defeated today.

Surprise BFP #3 – December 2011, diagnosed as cornual, terminated January 2012
BFP #4 – June 2012, m/c July 2012

BFP #6 – January 2013, m/c March 2013
No longer TTC. Diagnosis: Hostile ute. Heartbroken and bitter. Pursuing surrogacy.

    Sammer, I really hope that you respond better to the Menopur. Im sorry to hear this. Is this the first time you've used injectables? Did your DR seem surprised that you're not responding well?

    4 Losses (2003, 2008, Apr 2012, & Oct 2012)
    All RPL and IF testing with multiple REs = normal

    5 IUIs = BFN

    Oh sammer I'm so sorry. I really, really hope the change in meds helps. So many hugs your way and lots of thoughts and prayers for a positive outcome for you.

    Oh Sammer (((hugs))) I'm so sorry you're dealing with this on top of everything else.  I'm keeping my FX that you respond well to the additional meds and that your appointment goes well on Friday.

    I'm so sorry that you have to worry about this. FX that your eggs respond better to the Menopur and you have a great appointment on Friday.

    She honestly has no idea why I'm not responding well. She fully expected to see a lot more eggs and normal growth for me since I'm young and healthy with no known egg quality issues.

    Thanks ladies. I appreciate the support. I'm feeling slightly better today but I'm still super scared for Friday's appointment. The end of the week cannot come soon enough for me.

    Oh Sammer, I'm so sorry. Sending you huge ((hugs)). I hate that things just keep piling up on you and nothing seems to go smoothly. I'm thinking of you and keeping my FX for a better appointment on Friday. Keep us posted.

    Diagnosed w/ endometriosis 12/2010 Laproscopic surgery & 6 months of Lupron
    BFP 12/17/2011,EDD 8/23/12,ectopic discovered 12/29/11 at 6 weeks recieved methotrexate
    Dec '12 HSG & ultrasound showed abnormalities & more endo. Laproscopic surgery in January '13 showed significant damage & scar tissue from Endo. IVF is our best shot to concieve our rainbow.

    June '13 Decided to go the adoption route!
