XP: Appointment Update

Not great...well, pretty horrible. That pretty much sums up my appointment. I am showing a lot more eggs than Saturday's appointment (I only had 9 or 10), which is great. My doctor was happy about that. However, they aren't growing very much. I've been on the max dose of Follistim since Wednesday and my eggs look like they should on CD3. My doc is quite concerned about this and I will be starting Menopur tomorrow in addition to the Follistim. There is now a small but very real chance that we won't be able to use my own eggs. I'm scared, anxious, insanely angry at my body and our situation, and somewhat devastated after my appointment. I go back again on Friday and I'm praying that the eggs have responded favorably to all the meds. I never in my wildest dreams imagined that I would have this problem to worry about on top of everything else. I just feel so defeated today.

Sammer, I really hope that you respond better to the Menopur. Im sorry to hear this. Is this the first time you've used injectables? Did your DR seem surprised that you're not responding well?

She honestly has no idea why I'm not responding well. She fully expected to see a lot more eggs and normal growth for me since I'm young and healthy with no known egg quality issues.

Thanks ladies. I appreciate the support. I'm feeling slightly better today but I'm still super scared for Friday's appointment. The end of the week cannot come soon enough for me.
