Care to recommend your vacuum?
I have an upright Kenmore Progressive that just doesn't do the best job anymore. It's also very heavy, which is a major pain. I have two cats, so I need something that will be good on pet hair. I also have original hardwood floors that need to be treated gently lest they fall completely the fuck apart.
So, any recommendation? I've read mixed reviews about the Dyson Animal (from Consumer Reports and Amazon reviews).

I think it's worth the extra money.
