I had bought a cheaper one on amazon before I had my son and then was given one when I had to have a c/s. I felt it was a must have thing for my healing incision and muscles. Will wear one again this time even if I don't have a c/s. since I already have it, I might as well. Not sure I'd splurge on the actual Belly Bandit brand one though.
Are these wraps just a cosmetic solution while your body adjusts after pregnancy or do they actually do something? I'm assuming the former? Clueless FTM here...
I put one on my amazon registry. You can read reviews from LOTS of people on the different products on amazon. My understanding is that it can help retrain your muscles while also giving you support since you will probably be weak in that area because the muscles haven't been working. I'm a FTM so I have no personal experience but I'm excited to try it. If nothing else, maybe add it to a registry so you get 10-15% off
I added the Bellefit to my registry and if no one buys it I've already saved some birthday money. I hope it makes my stomach go down faster but I'm also dreading that "loose" feeling people talk about. I do not want to feel as if my insides are loose or feel my tummy swinging around. Grosses me out.
so basically it is like a toning and slimming device in one? I am also curious if it is worth the cost as a FTM but I am used to have good ab development and it being fit albeit with some bodyfat layered over it- just my body, but i dont want loose skin flapping around.
I'm definitely goin to get one. FTM but I've had friends that totally swear by it. If you have a c section you get it for "free" from the hospital. I'll find out in a couple weeks if I have to have a scheduled c section and if not I won't register for one. But I highly recommend getting one.
@copperpoppy I received the one from the hospital after my c-section but it sucked. It was built for someone with a much longer torso (I'm only 5' tall). I also felt like I couldn't get it to tighten enough.
I'm thinking about getting a post partum shaper from Leonisa. Has anyone tried their stuff before?
@CopperPoppy I've had 2 c-sections, but never gotten one. I got a large ace-bandage type thing after my last surgery, but it wasn't terribly helpful. I'm curious to see what people here say about them; I might get one for after LO arrives.
@RugbyMamma in my case, the OB requested one from the hospital and they gave it to me the day we checked out from the hospital. Ask your OB if he/she can do that for you.
@lovey1 - I just looked into Leonisa products and am thinking about picking one up. All the reviews on the Slimming Braless Body Shaper in Boyshort are really good! No idea what size to get though...kind of tough to take hip and waist measurements when I'm 6 months preggo...
Have you heard any other reviews or sizing guidelines?
I know that the belly band it and other similar products recommend you ordering them in your 8th month so you can give the proper waist measurement. Also heard that you may need 2 different sizes depending on where you are in the chart.
@RugbyMamma I'm think of going with my pre-pregnancy measurements which would be a large. I wanted to get the same product that you're thinking of but I've got thunder thighs and boy shorts tend to dig so I might go for the one for thigh slimming too.

Good to know. From the reviews I read, their products usually come within 3 days of ordering, so I think I might wait until I get home from the hospital and take measurements then. I have what I like to call my "soccer legs" so I, too, am debating the boyshort decision, but we'll see how I feel when it's time to order!

DS1 - 7/2011, DD 12/2012, DS2 - 4/2014, MMC - 12/2015
I've been thinking about one for #2 since I'll still have to chase #1 around and won't be able to just lay on the couch like the first time.
