It's been a while since we have asked..

How much weight do you have to go until you get back to your pre-pregnancy weight?

  • Forgive the lack of SS.

    I'm pleased that I'm losing weight, but I'm a little surprised by how hard this is.  I suppose the chronic sleep deprivation isn't helping.

  • I'm at/below I was pp. It fluctuates as well but right after I had her I lost like 40 lbs in a little over 2 weeks which was not healthy. I've gained a little back so far but I'm content with where I am.

    I do want to start exercising though. I must tighten tone and firm
  • I'm at/below ore pregnancy weight and an clearly no longer pregnant but yesterday had the funniest thing happen. I walked into school and happened to see a couple of students from my internship class 2 years a go (1st graders then, 3rd now). One of the boy's sisters was also in my class that same year (I was hired right after my internship to teach at the same school). That boy says to me that he didn't know I taught his sister. I told him yeah two years a go. He then told me his site thought I was pregnant and I said I was but I already had the baby. The boy, without an hesitation looks right down at my stomach, I assume expecting to see a huge belly! It struck me as hilarious and a great way to start the day!

    I also need to tone still and am hoping life slows down soon so I can do just that!
  • I lost all my weight by 2 wks pp (21 lbs) and have since joined weight watchers and lost an additional 8 lbs.

  • I'm 3lbs from pp, but I was trying to lose about 5lbs when I got pregnant, so I said 5-9 because that's my current goal.

  • I'm 20 lbs below my pp weight. I'm wanting to lose another ten. That will put me back to my high school weight. :)
  • I have about 5lbs to go until I'm at my pre pregnancy weight. I was too thin though and really could use to have kept at least 10lbs of baby weight. So as much as I'd like to see my pp weight on the scale I kind of need these 5lbs to stick around.
  • I have about 8lbs left but I was a little under weight before. I could keep the lbs so I'm not worried about losing that but I would like to tone up my belly. I'm just to lazy to do anything about it. Plus I'm afraid of a supply drop if I tried so I'll just see what happens naturally.
  • I am with you @mewebster59!! I still have 40 pounds to lose. After almost losing my baby and my own life I guess I just wasn't that concerned with weight loss. But now at almost 5 months pp I need to get my chubby ass in gear :((

  • I still have about 10-13 to go. I need to cut calories and I was hoping that my trip to Florida next week would be motivation enough but alas. I do have a wedding in exactly 2 months that I'm a bridesmaid in. So I'm hoping for at least 10 by then. I'm starting to get my and back though and gain some of my workout stamina back so I'm hopeful.
  • I tried to lose the weight, and I was down about 10 pounds in 2 weeks of really dieting and working out and watching my eating and I was excited, until I realized that my supply was tanking.  So I had to re-up my caloric intake and I have now been using that as an excuse to not really care - I am in the 20-29 lb range.  FWIW, with son, I lost my pregnancy weight really quick, but with this one I just can't seem to kick the lbs.

  • I was lucky because I only gained 19 pounds during my pregnancy (GD diet FTW), and at my 6 week PP checkup I was down 23 total.  So 4 under what I weighed when I got pregnant.  I might've gained a little bit back since then, but my clothes still fit the same and I can get into all of my "normal" clothes.  I just have this weird little pooch that I would like to get rid of and realistically I would like to drop another 15-20.  But I've been saying that for years.

  • I'm down to my pp weight, but I want to get down to my "weight I look best at" 115. I have 10 more pounds to lose.
    For those not wanting to cut calories, just eat healthier calories. That is what I do. I haven't had a loss in supply at all. Even with all my weight loss. I gained 50 pounds while pregnant and it was not easy to come off. I am just now down to pp weight. So yeah for me it is all about food.
    Smoothies have become my best friend when it comes to getting enough calories in a quick meal.

  • I've been stuck at 9 lbs to go for months now and it's pretty annoying.

  • I've got 4 lbs left, I've convinced myself it's all in the boobs and am moving on.  I really miss my butt though... idk where it went.  I think I'm going to start doing some barre classes to get muscle back but I'm not worrying about weight loss.
  • I chose 50+. I am still 42 lbs above pp weight of 155, but 57 lbs above high ideal weight of 140. I'd really like to be 130-135.

  • I am always running - running to work, running around lab, running home. I also don't have time to eat and enjoy food like I used to. Despite all of that, I still have 13lb to go and it is ALL on my tummy. I look about 3 months pregnant... As PPs have said, I want to spend time with my baby rather than be in the gym. Baggy sweaters hiding my muffin top it is for me - luckily they seem to be trending right now!
  • I have lost 55 lbs since DS2 was born, bringing me to about 15lbs less than I was pp, and about 5lbs less than I was pre DS1 pregnancy, I still have about 7lbs left before I am down to my pre TTC weight which is were I want to be, at this rate I should be there by mid March, I am a bridesmaid in June so I def want to loose it by then. With DS1 I could never shift the weight, with DS2 it is proving pretty easy, he is a much bigger, much hungrier kid ;)

    Diagnosed with Anti little c antibodies. DS1 7.11.11 - Anaemia and Jaundice. 10 days in the NICU, 1 exchange transfusion and 4 blood transfusions. DS2 29.8.13 - Anaemia 7 days in the NICU and 1 exchange transfusion. Both are now happy and healthy. 

  • I lost the 21 lbs I put on during pregnancy in about three weeks. Then the scale has just been stalled at my prepregnancy weight since then. I'd like to lose about 20 more lbs to get back to my weight before having kids.
