Help with cough meds

Has anyone tried cold/cough meds for LO? DS is not sleeping well and not sure what else to do. I'm doing Tylenol, all natural honey cough syrup, humidifier, Vicks on chest and feet and he has a pillow. Don't know what else to do, his nose is runny, and cough sounds dry. Thanks ladies!

  • Thank you, I called the Ped. And they said no cough syrup or cough meds till 4. Really sucks, hate watching him cough constantly.

  • I just use the natural honey/vit C syrup. Sorry I don't have any better ideas.

  • The whole cough med thing bugs the living S out of me!!! (and has since DD was small and they first changed the rec') Tip from someone who grew up in the honey industry: Don't buy the fancy "Honey cough syrup" - just go straight for the bottle of locally grown dark honey (don't get me started on people who label it "organic" because - it's HONEY! it's all produced the same by the bees don't pay twice the price for one word when the production practices aren't different at all!). You can't OD on it, when the cold is over there's a use for it, and it has a higher efficacy than Robitussin in lab studies at Cornell (it was suppose to be the "control/placebo" and WHhooops!)..
