Re: Favorite shampoo

  • I really like the Organix line. I usually get the volume ones, but they all are good.. and the Coconut milk one smells AMAZING

  • Organix Nourshing Coconut Milk Shampoo and Organix Thick and Full Biotin and Colllagen conditioner.  Love, love, love them!

  • I started usin the Organix line also! I am allergic to sulfates so I was OVER THE MOON when I found this! It is kind of expensive for the small bottles but if you have a Christmas Tree Store around you that has a drugstore section they normally have big bottle for the same price as the small ones other place. I am using the coconut one for the first time right now and I love it!!
  • I use either baking soda wash and apple cider vinegar rinse, or I do a combo of Dr. Bronner's Baby Unscented Mild Castile soap with coconut milk. I usually condition with whatever new sulfate and paraben free conditioner I feel like trying! I am getting some highlights in my hair on Friday, though, so I think my search might begin anew to find a good "natural" shampoo that won't strip color.

  • where do you get this organix?
  • I use Bumble and Bumble Cocoa de Creme. I always try to mix it up but haven't been able to beat this. Looks like I need to give Organix a shot.

I've tried the Moroccan Oil and hate it. Overpriced and did nothing for my hair. I would say it took out any body that I had and left the frizz.

  • Tea Tree Shampoo... Either Paul Mitchell or the Great Clips brand. Does great on my oily hair. Then I use a soy leave-in by Big Sexy.

  • I have a fave but the smell is soooo overwhelming right now I can't use it. It's Rehab shampoo and Veganese conditioner from Lush. Very pricey but I can go about 2 days without washing my hair when I was having to wash it every day. I am now using a Redken Clarifying shampoo for build up and Redken light conditioner until I can get back to using my Lush stuff.

Note: I spend my money on my hair products. I don't wear makeup, so I see the justification for myself. :)

  • I use Wen.  It's supposed to be able to be used as both a shampoo & conditioner, but I find it makes my hair too oily.  So I use Suave shampoo and Wen as the conditioner.  I like that it makes my scalp tingly :)

  • Just and FYI Organix was just bought out by another company and the name is changed to OGX. But my bottles do still say "formerly Organix" on the back.
  • Paul Mitchell Tea Tree in Lavender. It turns my shower into a spa :)
  • I love Suave products, inexpensive and makes my hair very shiny. I also use Burt's Bees Super Shiny Shampoo with Mango, smells delicious!

  • I got straight up hair-shamed at the salon when I told the hairdresser I use Pantene...so now when they ask I just say Redken and they leave me alone. Pantene works just great for my hair and I've always loved the smell.

  • I'm loving all the organic shampoo users!! I just switched to Hugo & Debra Naturals Vanilla and Sweet Orange! I love the smell of it and its sulfate free! I'm telling ya getting rid of sulfates does wonders lol Its gluten free and vegan as well but I don't care about that really lol
  • I have crazy curls and have found that sulfate, paraben and silicone free is a MUST.  I use the Deva Care line.  No lather (lather promotes frizz, if any of you are having frizz issues), great smell (all-natural)...it's great!  It took awhile to get used to, but, I couldn't live without!!!  I don't think I've used shampoo in over 7 years (and my hair is clean!).
  • @courtp333 why the heck do they make shampoo that has food qualities...this is so confusing to me lol obviously they didn't put flour and liquid in your shampoo and mix it up to build gluten...sorry the baker in me coming out!
LOL I have no idea!! I guess some shampoos can have gluten in them?? None I have ever heard of! lol I thought that was weird too! :p
  • Kirkland's sulfate-free shampoo (from Costco)

I used to use Tresemme til I found out it has formaldehyde in it
