Earliest you heard HB?

AF is such a tease. Was expecting her on V Day (Friday) and she has yet to show up (and no, I'm not POAS because I'm not PG - we have MFI so it's pretty impossible).

I really don't want to call for Provera BUT we are going out of the country on vaca on April 22. I want to hear a heartbeat before then if we get a BFP (here's hoping!!!). Even if I get AF as early as tomorrow (not likely) I will be 8 weeks on April 21, the day before we go away.

My RE's policy is to do 1st u/s at 8 weeks which is late for IVF but I actually like it because there is usually more to see (and hear!). I know my RE would make an exception if I need my 1st u/s before then, but how early did you all see a heartbeat on u/s?

I hear ya on the annoyance with a late period and almost no possibility of being pregnant

I had my first ultra sound at 6w5d - I measured a day behind and we could see the flickering and they got a reading. That was with my RE.

I had my first with my OB at 8 weeks and we could see and hear it.

We saw their HBs at 6w2d, but we didn't get a measurement at that point- only confirmation they were beating. My RE didn't even try to turn on the counting/ audio part of the u/s. GL!

I just saw, measured, and heard the HB with u/s at 7 weeks. From searching around on TB, it seems like some people see it in the 6 week range.

Thanks JB! That's good to hear… we are heading to St. Maarten - my inlays rented a big house on the island so we are going with them and SIL/BIL. I'm looking forward to it!

6 weeks 4 days at the RE. I had some spotting so they let me come in a couple days early. Usually they do ultrasounds at 7 weeks. Good luck!

5 wks 6 days with DS and 6 weeks exactly with K&A. All three times the rate was about 100BPM and we were told it had probably just started.

Saw/heard HB at 5w4d and again at 7w4d with my RE before moving over to my OB. Good luck. Long periods def make it tough

5w+6d. I had a scan b/c I was bleeding (heavily) after our FET. The HB was only 87, the u/s tech said "I think it started beating while you were in the waiting room" a week later at 6w+6d it was 136bpm.

My first ultrasound was at 7 weeks, so can't say about anything sooner. It remains the biggest shock of my life to have seen two heartbeats that day (single embryo transferred).
