Week/Fruit: 28 weeks, eggplant.

Movement: He has been moving like crazy lately!

Rants/Raves: I had my glucose test yesterday and just waiting on results now. I hope I find out soon!!

Upcoming Appointments/Updates: I don't have another doctor appt for four weeks. But we do have an elective 3D u/s on Mar 5!

GTYK: Did you always see yourself being a Mom? Why/Why not? Just curious about that maternal instinct.... I actually used to think I wasn't cut out to be a mom and didn't really want kids, but then something in me changed (hormones I am sure) and suddenly I wanted kids more than anything! :-p

Week/Fruit: 27 weeks today (Hello third trimester)

Movement: All the time

Rants/Raves: I love my OB but hate her staff. The are offensive and rude at times....and act oblivious to this. They are now talking about my age as though I am older than crap.....I'm barely 30. They also talk about baby girl's size a lot.....granted she is at the top of average, but she is still average. She has a belly.,...they call her fat. I keep thinking she can hear you in there. Now, I know she doesn't care if people call her fat, but I do!

Rave: We registered at Target last night.....I love all the pink!

Upcoming Appointments/Updates: Failed the 1 hour glucose test on Monday....go back for the 2 hour on Wednesday. Also, I just scheduled all of my 2 week and 1 week appointments....that was a shit got real Monday moment for me!

GTYK: Did you always see yourself being a Mom? Why/Why not? Just curious about that maternal instinct....

I didn't always see myself being a mom....in high school I had such a different vision of my life. I've always been career driven....

That said, I had my first baby at 19, so I had to go after the rest of my vision as a mother....I now have the career, but can't imagine if I hadn't of become a mom!

Week/Fruit: 26 weeks, apparently a head of lettuce.

Movement: Definitely feel him every day, some days he is more active than others.

Rants/Raves: I thought it was Tuesday all day and it's really Wednesday so that means the weekend is closer than I thought, which is also good and bad. Good b/c no work but bad b/c I have an exam to take on Saturday and I am not prepared yet.

Upcoming Appointments/Updates: Nothing at the moment.

GTYK: Did you always see yourself being a Mom? Why/Why not? I did always see myself as being a Mom - or maybe saw myself as wanting kids, maybe not really with everything "thought out" per se. Definitely knew I wanted kids for as long as I can remember, but I didn't really feel maternal until my son was actually here and I was actually parenting him.

Week/Fruit: 28 weeks, Eggplant! I can't believe I am in third tri!!

Movement: Getting a lot more active! Yesterday he was moving like crazy in the evening, actually pushed up on my belly twice, it seemed very deliberate and was a lot different than a kick. I also managed to get a video of my belly moving with some good kicks for the family to see

Rants/Raves:
I fell on the ice again last week, and had to go in for the second time in a month for fetal monitoring. Everything was fine, but it was frustrating. Both times were at work and I feel dumb filling out an accident report for walking.
My OB told me my weight gain was high, and I am really trying to eat well, but feeling pretty lousy about my weight and body image.

On the upside, DH is making good progress stripping the trim in the nursery and plans to start painting the walls next week! Super excited

Upcoming Appointments/Updates: Next appointment is March 11, then we go bi-weekly, have all the appointments scheduled out for the rest of the pregnancy.

GTYK: Did you always see yourself being a Mom? Why/Why not? Just curious about that maternal instinct.... I was not one of those girls who was obsessed with the idea of becoming a mommy, (nothing wrong with it if you were!) but I definitely always knew I wanted kids. I was very career focused for a long time though. Once I settled into my career we finally got married, then we wanted to be stable before we planned anything. I think I had wanted to have kids younger, but when it came to that point I wanted my career and stability first.

@jcrewgirl85 Thanks for posting the check-in! I knew I had the last two weeks but wasn't sure who was doing it this week, if anyone. :-)

Week/Fruit: 29, acorn squash

Movement: Lots... I have a feeling this little guy may not be much of a sleeper. ;-)

Rants/Raves:

Rant: I really just want to eat nothing but baked goods. Cakes, donuts, bagels, cookies... You name it. I just don't let myself have them in the house often.

Raves: It is a gorgeous day here! I left the gym this morning and decided I didn't need my coat!

Upcoming Appointments/Updates: Next appt is next week. On every two weeks now!

GTYK: Did you always see yourself being a Mom? Why/Why not? Just curious about that maternal instinct.... Yes. After I decided to stop pursuing my classical music career I briefly considered law school or a master's degree in public policy. I opted for teaching because I loved it and thought it would be a great career for a mom if I had to work, but by that point the maternal instinct had kicked in so much I really just wanted to enjoy a few years in my career and then stay home with my babies. :-)

Week/Fruit: 28 weeks/eggplant...yeay 3rd trimester

Movement: lots of it!! So fun to watch my belly move around strangely

Rants/Raves: starting to have a hard time breathing, especially when I work out, but love knowing that she is growing in there!

Upcoming Appointments/Updates: passed my glucose test last week, and now am going every 2 weeks

GTYK: Did you always see yourself being a Mom? Why/Why not? I had a time in my life where I was interested in working like 80 hours a week, downtown in a big city and never getting married or having kids. Then I went to grad school, I definitely realized I wanted a family, and stopped after my MA Haven't looked back since! Ironically, I don't even work full time now haha

I usually do the Wednesday check in but unfortunately I've been at my doctor's office since this morning to monitor the contractions I was having since last night. I have been put on bed rest until further notice and was give meds to help with my contractions. Sorry I didn't post anything earlier today. Thanks for doing the check in today @jcrewgirl85 and @mamarazziof3 thanks for doing it the previous 2 weeks!

Week/Fruit: 28 weeks! Yipee! Eggplant

Movement: Sooo much movement and she wont stop messing with my ribs!

Rants/Raves: Alot of anxiety lately.. I feel so "off" .. I am excited to move out in a few months even if its after the baby is born, sick of the inlaws.

Upcoming Appointments/Updates: Gotta go get the 3 hour glucose done, I failed the 1 hour by a TON =(

I did when I was younger but as soon as I started dating guys I would always look at the quality of their ability's to love and care for me and honestly none of them seemed dad worthy. Its weird but they were so immature that I eventually looked at myself and said "pff i couldnt be a mom either" When I started dating my now husband things clicked and changed so fast.. it was a wonderful feeling of growing up and dating someone who was ALREADY grown up. I knew I could do it.. and I knew he could if he if had to. I felt ready one day.. !

Bumping from our Puerto Rico babymoon/birthday trip! 28 weeks and doing well. I've notice this week that I've started walking leaning backwards to counterbalance my belly. Meh. Warmheartmom, hope you get to feelin better!

Week/Fruit: 27 weeks...oh hey there 3rd tri!
Movement: A ton. This baby is all over the place and I think he/she likes to stretch out and see how far my ute will stretch.
Rants/Raves: nothing really. I've been feeling good the last few weeks.
Upcoming Appointments: 2/28 for glucose test and to check if placenta has moved. Fingers crossed!
GTYK: I never KNEW I was going to be a Mom, but the urge hit last summer and I had baby fever. DH had been ready for awhile. I'm glad we waited and are that perfect place to start our family.

Movement: Lots, he even moved to kick his sister when she was sitting on my lap the other day.

Rants/Raves: None, just ready to meet him.

Upcoming Appointments/Updates: None for another 3 weeks. I do have to go take my GTT soon.

I thought I would be younger, like my mom, but I didn't even get married until I was 23 and then we waited a few years. I didn't like to play with dolls but I loved taking care of my pets.

Movement: So.Much. He's a little bouncy ball in there!

Rants/Raves: Nothing pregnancy related, just family drama/excitement that I won't bore you with.

Upcoming Appointments/Updates: Appointment tomorrow morning, GTT while I'm there. Blech. Super not excited.

GTYK: Did you always see yourself being a Mom? Why/Why not? Yup. There was no question in my mind. Not sure why, really, I just knew it was something I needed to do.
