What to buy the baby with everything??

I need to buy a gift for friends who just had their 4th baby! This is their 3rd girl...so I know they have plenty of clothing and the necessities.
Suggestions?? My only thought is books since those get slobbery and worn easily.

What has helped you with your baby? Even if it's something small like Sophie that can help them in the later months. Diapers and wipes are always welcome in my mind, too. I would go off of that train of thought and if they don't like it, then they can return it.

I think that as a 4th baby, they probably aren't expecting anyone to be purchasing anything so I'm sure they will be thrilled with whatever they get.

I would agree with books or other consumables, butt paste, soap, lotion, bubble bath etc. Or get something strictly for the parents babysitting vouchers or something of the like.

Yeah. I can picture diapers and wipes being a hot commodity with the fourth kid or even a gift card, as impersonal as that is. I LOVEEEED having GCs. I would buy whatever we needed when we needed it. It was awesome.

I second gift cards and consumable items.

but.... if you absolutely want to something cutesy.. maybe something monogrammed with their name or initials (daygown, bibs, burp cloths, onesie) I am always a sucker for the cutesy things.

I second this. I ordered one for LO and was really impressed! The stitching is really good, the snaps are strong but not too strong, and the material is soft and high-quality. Plus it's unlikely that they already have one.

Gifts and consumables.

Speaking as a mom with 2 girls close in age, I did appreciate a cute new outfit here and there for the new little one. I made a small box of things for her that were NOT hand me downs and kept them separate. I just don't want her to feel like everything she ever got was a hand me down.

Maybe gift the mommy something instead? 4 kids is a lot! Maybe something to pamper or spoil her and a package of diapers or something little for the baby?

Date night for mom & dad, maybe a gift certificate to a nice place and offer to babysit all the kiddies!

Agreed! I got mine before baby was born thinking they might be another unnecessary baby item but I was so wrong. We use ours all the time. Awesome suggestion.
