TTC after 35

I miss this board!

Hi ladies! I miss this board. I've been MIA for the last week. We had a guy at work quit and I am covering for him and doing my own stuff. So I have no time to come to the board through the day and read what you all have to say. I even missed my beloved weekly check-in! It's so funny how much I stopped by here before. I miss you ladies! I feel like I've fallen so far behind on all the posts that I'll never catch up!

I'm scheduled for my HSG (finally!) on Thursday. Then I fly out to Oklahoma to visit family. So I'm really praying that the test is easy and painless! DH's 2nd SA is next Wednesday. So things are moving along. April is not that far off!

Hope everyone is doing well. Hoping to see some BFP's from you ladies!

  • Good luck!  Take an advil before and after and you should be fine.  I had minor spotting for about a day. Bring your own pad ( you can't use tampons due to risk of infection) unless you like the big ones they offer you :)   FX that you get good results!

  • Hey! GL with HSG. I hate all those tests! Have fun visiting family!

    ME:46 MH:44 DE IVF 2014
Met with RE 4/11. 2 IUI's BFN. DE best option. Switched clinics to do "shared" program. Had to retake all tests and a mamm that put me behind and then on a DE waiting list for 12 months. Picked a donor!! (10/13/13) Got matched. Estimated transfer in December. After 2.5 years of patiently waiting I will finally cycle....can hardly believe it. DE cycle got cancelled. One of her tests came back positive.  Waiting for another donor. Donor picked!! (1/18/14)

    DE IVF #1 (4/26) BFN  DE FET #1 (6/4) BFP! Beta 1=339 Beta 2=852 Beta 3=9957 EDD 2/22/15!!

  • Welcome back! I had two HSG tests about 1 1/2 years apart. The first one hurt pretty bad, I do have to admit.  But the pain only lasted for less than 30 seconds. The second was painless.  Perhaps it was becasue the second time around I took 3 Advil 1 hour before.  I highly recommend doing that.  I had no spotting or anything after either one.

    Have fun on vacation!

  • Definitely take the advice of taking advil prior to the hsg. I also was given valium, which helped me chill out prior. Good luck! Let us know how the results look! xo
