  I would pick fewer days, but longer hours. It would be worth it to me not to have to leave the house, do the drop off, commute, pick up.

  Your 4.5 hours will turn into six hours, by the time you commute, get in, do that one last task before you leave, walk out to your car and drive home.
  Plus, you'll never have a full day to actually get stuff done or go on an adventure with your kid if you work five days a week.
