Smoothies

I make ds smoothies everyday because he's not fan of fruit or veggies.
I normally use spanich yogurt frozen fruit or fresh fruit water or diulated apple juice. But I wanted to see if anyone had any other ideas of stuff to put in it to switch it up. I went to the grocery store tonight and got some carrots to shred up to add in and also kale to use instead of spanich. Haven't tried it yet but wanted to see if anyone had any other suggestions!

Re: Smoothies

  • I've done PB, bananas and almond milk. I also do whatever berries (strawberry, blue berry), banana and milk. Have you checked Pinterest? I always see smoothie recipes pinned on there that might give you some more ideas.

  • We do oj, frozen fruit( berries, mango, pineapple, peaches), frozen carrots, greens mix, WCM yogurt, and fresh fruit if possible.DD loves them, her teachers cannot believe how much she likes them. She gets a small one before going to montessori than one when she gets there and another with her afternoon snack.DD is allergic to soy, nuts and eggs.
  • Smoothies are perfect for sneaking in those veggies!! We do OJ, frozen berry mix, little dash of vanilla flavored protein powder, and whatever veggies I have on hand. Usually broccoli, cauliflower, peas, shredded carrots, etc.
