Do any of you BTDT mamas have potty chair recs? S is showing tons of interest in the toilet and I really want to take advantage of the enthusiasm. I have one of those seats you put on the adult toilet but she isn't really a fan of it so I was thinking she might be more into a freestanding potty. I am looking for something that is relatively inexpensive and doesn't play music.
These are the two my SIL bought for my niece. One stays at grandparents, one for her place.
DS refused to use the potty (we had a fancy Lightning McQueen training potty and one that attaches to the actual toilet) until his sitter introduced him to the froggy potty. We bought one, and he has used it ever since. And it's cheap! Go for it.
Andplusalso, why do college girls think it's necessary to wear short skirts and heels to 8:00am classes when it is raining and 34 degrees outside?
@bebemac, WHERE ARE YOU? At my university, the college girls live in yoga pants/running capris and fleeces. Shoes vary by season: Uggs for winter; sneakers for fall; Old Navy flip flops for spring and summer.
Oregon! We also have our girls in the yoga pants/fleece camp. But the skirts and heels have got to go. It's like they try too hard to get fancy. At 8:00am. When it's cold. And raining.
So I thought I was being all thrifty and smart and bought a lot of 10 spring/summer tops on ebay. Which was hard to do because I like to consider myself fairly trendy, and the pickings were slim.
Got the package today. They are all in great condition, and really cute. and SIZE SMALL. IDK if anyone has seen my other posts but all my other maternity clothes (mediums, a few larges) no longer or barely fit. I live in PA, and most of them are sweaters anyway so if it ever warms up, I'm in trouble. I've also just gone to a 38DD. Silly brain. Her post clearly says large lot, size small. So I'm thinking when I searched "maternity lot tops size large" her post came up because of her saying it was a large lot, not size large. I'm so mad at myself. I'm still gonna try them on though, the way a few of the tops are cut *might* be doable. UGH. Back to the drawing board.
On a brighter note, my DH just came home with over a dozen Peanut Butter Blossoms. They are my absolute favorite cookie, and his mom sent them for me so I'd have them to munch all day tomorrow (my birthday.) She's awesome.

My SS moment, my mom called me to tell me she booked my shower and I need to be registered a month ahead of time at least. I haven't started yet... My shower is April 19th talk about a shit just got real moment. It sounds so stupid to say out loud but I can't believe I'm actually going to have a little person in less than 3.5 months!
I want a freshly baked chocolate chip cookie and milk for dinner. Not the healthy dinner I am about to eat. In my head I figured since I had a terribly unhealthy lunch (chicken fingers, fries and onion rings) I may as well go all out on the junk food and start over tomorrow..
I think I just became a stereotype. Went to pick up a few things from the supermarket and found myself transfixed in front of the cookie cabinet. Finally decided on an oat & peanut butter cookie and hoovered it as I finished my shopping. Got a couple of knowing smiles from other ladies in the store

I have a job interview tomorrow for a job I really want. I have realized the last few weeks how much I need to be somewhere besides my current workplace so I'm really hopeful this interview goes well. It may give me the push I need to finish out this school year without wanting to quit or go off on stupid people.

...or a selfish mother for telling her she could only have 2 and the last one is for mommy? I really didn't let her have the last one, even through tantrums, MOSTLY because I really wanted it (if we're going to be honest), but also I really don't feel like cleaning up the puke from a stomachache from eating 3.
Now that I typed all that out, I think either way is selfish. Damn it.
When people on FB ask for prayers but don't say why, I always feel like I need more info. I mean, like I at least need a subject line to send up with the prayer: "Please protect Sue out with her gallbladder surgery." I get the need for privacy, but the generic option seems flawed.
And also, what if after 25 people comment saying they sent prayers, the OP is like, "Thanks. I really hope I get this iPad.
Eta: this isn't about our ladies on the board. I'm referring to FB friends who ask for general prayers about as often as Hobby Lobby puts picture frames on sale.

@kaceymarie & @chickpea912 - DH works at a restaurant in town... Liam Neeson is in Boston right now doing college tours with his son (cute), and they came in to DH's restaurant.
I guess he was wicked friendly with everyone and challenged the GM to a boxing match, lol. DH also said he was a very big guy (tall & jacked) but looks much older than on film. Which prompted me to Google, he's 62! I thought he was much younger. Still, very handsome, imo.

Thoughts on Luciano? Last name is Lorenzo. Baby will be Cuban and Italian.
My dad is named Luciano and FIL is Lorenzo Lorenzo (yes, really). Trying to honor both families with first and last name. (Our convo inspired me @lest12!)
So I think it was on the last thread of this that someone asked if someone could be due in November already and we pretty much figured out there is no way as the person would have been like 2 weeks pregnant. Someone already posted on November 2014 saying they are due Nov. 1. They'd be barely 3 weeks pregnant when they got their BFP. Can you really get a positive that soon? Maybe she just ovulates like right away? I feel like there are plenty of people due in October that haven't even gotten a BFP yet. At any rate...those are some crazy hormones if you get a + already!

Any earlier than that though I wouldn't trust till further testing. The HCG isn't being produced until a few days after implantation, which doesn't happen till a few days after ovulation... so she's probably wrong on her dates. /ramble

Interesting! I actually got my BFP at 3 weeks 6 days, which was still pretty quick, but it was quite the squinter! And I have no idea when I ovulated...I tried to track it but it didn't work :P Even still hers just seemed like reaaaaaaaaaally soon as she posted it on Monday, which would have made her like 3 weeks 2 days? 3 days? And I know at that point days matter.

I always get giddy when a new BMB opens up. It seems like just yesterday it was only us and then July, now we have all these other BMBs after ours and it makes me happy. We're so much further than when we started lol!

Me too...my favorite is to lurk on new boards and read their BFP and see the excitement/nervousness...brings me back I'm too scared to lurk ahead and see what is to come...haha!
DH is excited for his daughter to come, but he doesn't really seem to overly show his excitement like I do... The other day I was frantically looking for our a/s ultrasound pictures and started tearing up when I couldn't find them... I decided to go look downstairs for some strange reason and found them pinned to our corkboard in our workout room. When DH got home from work, I asked why they were down there, and I told him how sad I had been that I couldn't find them. He went on to explain that he pinned them there as his workout motivation. He can see them directly from the treadmill and weight bench. He told me that he has to be in great shape to chase his little girl around for years and years. Cue tear up again...
I haven't had a freaking single sexy pregnancy dream.

That was me asking. My new SIL of 3 months told my mom a little over a week ago that she was PG and expecting in Nov. I don't know her that well and the only time we were with them was over Thanksgiving for less than a week. They had been living together for a bit longer, July maybe? But still not long enough to be having to going thru other measures to get PG, right?
The little we were together she was sort of a 'blonde', ditzy, kind of a person, but a week is hardly enough time to really draw any conclusions really.
My other brothers wife pulled a real smoothy several years ago. She was 'PG' then had a miscarriage so many times we lost count. Sad story except for the little detail that she was PG-MC more than was physically possible. Seriously, my first bros first wife is an RN and she said officially that it wasn't even possible.
So, that could make me a little skeptical when I shouldn't be which is why I asked. I went on another site and was just messing with the due date calculator, but you have to put in the first day of your last period (awkward trying to guess my SILs last menstrual cycle). With some fiddling I had it figured out that in order to be due Nov 1st she'd have been 2 weeks PG. I dunno... I guess time will tell!
I'm with @bebemac pregnancy math makes my brain hurt...
ETA: @katekat8721 and it would be VERY freakishly early to be telling your MIL you're PG!
