I have my 24 week appt today @10 central. Finally. My last appt was at 15/16 weeks because my OB keeps going on vacation. I hope she's ready for a ton of Q&A.

I've got an appt with OB today. Im anxious to see what her thoughts are on the A/S and size of LO. Hopefully she'll send me for a growth scan so we can see him again. Since my last appt I've put on a few more pounds than I'd like to admit, but I swear its all in my belly!!!

Other than 24 hour heartburn, frequent headaches, and sleeplessness....all is well.

Also have first appt with a new family practice....lots of poking and prodding!!

Not exactly a "real" appointment but I have my first prenatal massage tonight at 5pm EST! I can't wait!!

Had what was supposed to be my 24 week appointment (got cancelled because of snow last week today) - so I guess it was technically 25 weeks give or take. I got to meet with the other doctor that rotates deliveries with my normal OB. Of course I'd much prefer my normal doctor, but at least they share similar philosophies and have worked together for 20 years, so thats comforting! I did find out that in about 10% of the time, someone other than the two of them will deliver, and that it's typically over the weekend. Just need to convince this LO to stay inside should I start to go into labor on a Saturday/Sunday

In other news, I put on another 8.5 lbs in 5 weeks (wtf), and did my glucose test. Fingers crossed for good results!

Also - my doctors never tell me what I'm measuring, is this normal? Or do you all typically ask?

i had my 24 week checkup today and everything is going well. however, they told me that i have a low lying placenta though and i might need a c section. i have an ultrasound appt at 28 weeks to check to see if my placenta moves at all. FX

Just got back from my appointment! Baby's heartbeat was good, she was kicking me straight in my full bladder the whole time! So uncomfortable! I did get a referral for physical therapy for my back pain. So, woohoo! Hopefully they make Saturday appointments.

I also found out my insurance policy changed and no longer covers maternity care for dependents! (I had been with my dad's insurance because it was a WHOLE lot better than DH's [technically fiance :P]) So we are going to get our marriage license and get married before my next appointment as crappy prenatal is better than none at all.

*Disclaimer: I know it's judge worthy that I am on my daddy's insurance, but it is so much better and I've also been paying my own monthly premiums and bills and everything. So I was not getting a "free ride." Just much better coverage.

Placentas are freaky things and they really can move quite a bit. FX for you!

@abastian00 - Mine doesn't ever tell us what we're (I'm? IDK) measuring or what the baby's heartbeat is. I don't ask because I don't need anything else to worry about if he isn't worried.

That's sort of been my MO so far too - no news is good news! I'm glad though my office isn't the only one who keeps the details brief!

Update...LO is HUGE. OB wasn't overly concerned with the measurements from the A/S...until she measured fundal height and he came in at 28 weeks....I'm only 22. At A/S he was measuring 3 weeks ahead....

She moved my glucose tolerance test to tomorrow morning and scheduled another A/S. Waiting to hear from the MFM's office on when that's going to be.

And...since the OBs appt was so exciting ...I ended up missing the new patient appt at the family practice.

Back from my appointment. I gained 10 lbs the last month! AHhh! It puts me at a total of 16 lbs so the doctor is ok with my total weight gain, but I should not be gaining that much in a month! Now that the weather is getting better I will be walking and just watch my portions better this month. Baby was super active, which wasn't a surprise and made it hard to get the heartbeat. I am 24 weeks but measuring 25ish. I am sure I am growing a monster.
