Little man has been Struggling with my milk so we went to dr yesterday. She recommended nutramagen for him (I'm pumping for 2 weeks while he's on it incase it doesn't work I can go back to trying to nurse) holy buckets it's expensive. Do you pay out of pocket? Find coupons? Buy in bulk in line? Does your insurance cover it? He's been on it about 24 hours & is doing really well.

DS1 was on it and my insurance wouldn't cover it, but that was 3 years ago. We ended up calling enfamil and they sent us a ton of coupons. But it was still expensive (we ended up spending about $4000 for a year of nutramigen)

Thanks ladies. Dr have us samples to try for now. If it works & insurance covers it she will write a script. I didn't know you could get coupons from company. I'll look into it. Thanks!

My pedi had recommended that or prosobee. He had said they're just about the same except in price. Maybe try asking if prosobee is ok instead?

Has anyone noticed their lo's eating more frequently while drinking it? Before he was nursing every 2-4 hours or taking formula bottle every 3-4 hours. Now it's every 1.5-2

@jessicat2283 our pedi said when DS goes a day or so wanting to feed more frequently I up should his bottles by half an ounce. Maybe he wants a little bit more.
