I am going to do another cycle with a new RE here with my own egg's but looking into an alternate option since donor eggs is so much money. I was reading that they have a great price on donor eggs, etc. The only thing you pay for is monitoring, etc.
If you used them, how was the experience?
Are you local or did you travel?
Who was your RE?
Were you successful?
If you consulted with them and did not go with them, was there a specific reason?
Thanks
Re: Anyone use CNY for infertility treatments?
We went to CNY Albany and worked with Dr. Grossman. We loved them. For us it was a 2 hour drive one way (but so was Syracuse)...we used a sperm donor and even though that's not their specialty they were great to deal with and very helpful.
Dr. Kiltz is great as well. Very personable, optimistic, but no bull crap kind of guy.
Any questions you have let me know :-)
I was a patient of theirs in the Syracuse office. I love love love them.
I always felt that any of my treatments were well explained, that the staff answered any and all questions, they were friendly, caring, professional, etc...
Dr. Cohen did my original intake appt. Dr. Kiltz did one or two of my u/s'. Monitoring/ b/w and IUI's were done by the nurses. I felt completely comfortable with them doing that.
Check out their website and click on the discussion tab. The nurses/doctors/insurance admin will help to answer any of your questions as well.
Let me know if you would like any other info. Good Luck!
There are a lot of posters on the network 54 board who did DE cycles there - might be worth asking there too.

Yes, this is the clinic. I have been crying over what to do lately with this whole process. I have used (long time ago) all insurance, etc. So, we are 100% OOP. I have done 2 IVF's of which the first failed and the second was a chemical pg.
I have found a new RE who I am meeting with in July to do a cycle with, but wanted to get my things together in case it does not work. I know, real optimistic right?
At any rate, I saw they have a great donor program. It also looks like they have a great IVF program as well. This is more up my alley since it has been taking more time to get my ovaries in gear!
I have a phone consult with Dr. Grossman at the end of the month. I am looking forward to seeing what he has to say about my issues!
I did 3 times....For the most part, I loved them. Very nice and personable. I do have some mixed feelings on some things they did or didnt do. I live in SYR so I didnt have to travel. I also went to Strong in Rochester. I can give you more details if you wish...Let me know...
We did! And we LOVED them. We live in Albany so we used the Latham office for almost everything, but we were on grant for part of our first 2 IVF's, so we went to SYR for the ER and ET for them. But everything else, and all of IVF#3 was at the Latham office.
We saw Dr. Grossman and Kiltz both. You have consults with the doctors, but most of your monitoring, med changes, etc... are done by the nurses and they are awesome. They listened to any concerns I had, etc....
Also - as a tip/suggestion. We couldn't afford IVF#3 and I told Dr. Kiltz that when we had our WTF for #2. So he dropped the price for me. A lot. So if you are all OOP, it honeslty can't hurt to ask if there's any way they can help. Even if they don't lower the price, perhaps they can give you some free meds (they did that for me as well on a couple I needed).
Good luck!
