Sorry to start a whole thread for this. I didn't want to ruin the fun of the "random" thread. It's my fav.
My resilient grandfather is in the ICU, and has been since Sunday night. In the last 20 years, he's suffered two heart attacks and beat cancer. He's never really fully recovered since the cancer. He's always sick with something. He took my grandma out dancing on Saturday to celebrate valentines day. He now has acute pneumonia. Yesterday, he was hooked up to 20 different IV meds, dialysis for his kidneys, and a ventilator.
Yesterday, my 6 aunts and uncles, 3 siblings, and 9 cousins were all at the hospital with their spouses, basically to say goodbye in case he doesn't make it. His 11 great grand children were obviously not there. My 78-year-old grandma hasn't slept more than an hour or two at a time. She's afraid he'll pass while she's sleeping.
T&P would be wonderful. For the both of them.

***Update*** My mom called and the cardiac specialist thinks there is damage to the heart, and his recovery might take two weeks, but he may pull through. He's under sedation now, but squeezed my Grandma's hand. I hope he did, and it isn't wishful thinking on her part. Thank you so much for all the support.
