Any funny quirks between you and your SO/DH?

Dh and I call each other by our last names when one does something mildly annoying, just as forgetting to replace to TP. We also talk about poop way more than anyone should. I think that started when I was constantly constipated while pregnant and just took a life of its own.

Any quirks out there?

We call each other babe like more than our first names. So even when we fight we say babe. Our friends get a huge laugh out of this.

IDK if these are quirks or we are just broken lol but....

We also fight wrestle A LOT. Basically think of 12 year old boys rough housing and that is us.

Finally we have spoon fights. I have a bunch of bamboo dip spoons. Often times one of us will smack the other one with a spoon and a fight breaks out. It reminds me mostly of fencing.

We have a Mini Schnauzer named Norma Jean that I have given a "voice" to. She has a terrible German accent, and I make her say funny/ inappropriate things to H all day long in said accent.

It's pretty ridiculous. H loves/ hates it.

I do this with our dog! He has a Scottish accent. DH tries to act like I'm weird but he loves it.

We quote Mitch Hedberg way too much. He has become part of our normal vernacular. Many people who are unfamiliar with his comedy have become confused when talking with us.

I wouldn't call it a right of martial passage. More like nature. What do you do if your with your dh and you have to fart?

Speaking of farting, one of DH's friends had this game we picked up. Every time someone farts they have to say "safety." If the other person says it before they get a chance the person who farted has to run to touch a door knob. Meanwhile they can get smacked on the butt on the way to the doorknob. It sounds stupid but it used to be great fun back in the day.

Same here. Dh too. I actually wouldn't mind, and have let a few slip, but apparently farts are where dh draws the line. Oops.

Funny thing, though. Our main bathroom door is always propped open (there's no air/heat vent) and for a good few months there we just used the bathroom with the door open rather than fuss with closing it. But farts are too much, lol.

Now that I think of it we never call each other by our first names! We just say baby or honey.

Us too! Usually babe or honey.....so much so that my DD calls everyone honey! LOL

That's us too. We have all kinds of hang-ups about bodily functions. It was a relief to find each other since everyone else of course just makes fun of us.

Ditto the whole going to the bathroom with the other person in the room, which is standard procedure on my BMB.

LO thinks my first name is Honey. That's pretty much all he's ever heard me called. Like in Lady & The Tramp.
