Di/di twins are no more alike than siblings - so your chances of having one sex over the other are no different than if you would've had two separate pregnancies.
My twins are di/di as well. It is overwhelming information in the beginning; I had no idea there was anything but fraternal vs. identical. Typically, di/di twins carry the lowest risk of the three types, but are still considered a high risk pregnancy. As pp mentioned, it is like having two completely separate pregnancies at the same time, rather than a pregnancy that is split between two babies.
I already have one of each at home, so the prospect of maybe having one of each this time is fun :-). But of course I will be thrilled with any combination!
One egg can split 3 days after fertilization and become di/di twins (identical), or much more commonly, your ovaries can release two eggs and they are fertilized by two different sperm (fraternal).
2/3 of all twins are fraternal. Of fraternal half are boy/girl, 1/4 are boy/boy, and 1/4 are girl/girl.
You are officially experiencing two separate pregnancies at once! It is so very important to listen to your body. If you feel tired, lay down. Drink water all the time. Gain a good amount of weight. Make all of your appointments! Congratulations!
Congrats!! Di/di is the lowest risk of all the twin pregnancies. While the uterus is not a clown car , the fact that everything is separate makes things easier on them and you.
FWIW, with my di/di pregnancy, it was easy, easy, easy. I was super active until the day they arrived and had zero complications during the pregnancy. Wishing you the same!
Oh and I had a boy and girl.

my di/di twins are both boys and at this point my doctor told me there is still a 25% chance they are identical and the egg split really early, but I have a feeling they are not identical since we did IUI with two eggs

Congrats! I pregnant with di/di twins too. I'm so excited to find out the sex and hopefully will be able to at my next appointment. I'm 16 weeks now and I have an appointment at 18 weeks. If not then, I have my anatomy scan appointment at 20 weeks. Good luck with everything!

My di/di twins are both girls. Or at least they were at the last scan, we'll see if the anatomy scan tomorrow confirms it. Wish us luck for two healthy little ones!
