Merry Tuesday Ladies!

This check-in is not necessarily exercise-related.  I know a lot of us are trying to eat healthier and give up bad habits thanks to the motivation of pregnancy/new baby, so any kind of getting heathy is welcome here!

@tttwalters - SAD is no joke - have you looked into those natural light lamps?  I know that won't help with the cooped up feeling though ...

And @calikat80 - welcome back again!  It's so awesome that you're so close to your pre-pregnancy weight goal!

  • Last week- Gained a lb. Worked out 5 days. Got a couple of runs in, including a long run which felt great.

    This week- 5 days again and continuing to watch my diet.

    Goal- I have put the half marathon back on the table. If the week before I'm still feeling good, I'll just sign up for it and know I'll probably have to talk some walk breaks. And, I'm probably going to have to get back on BC. Which sucks. We got H fixed. But, I'm having the same issues I was having pre-Max where I gained almost 10lbs just because of stupid hormones. I think that's why these last 10-15lbs won't. Effing. Budge.

    QOTW- My favorite winter vacation... would be somewhere getting away from winter. But, we've never done that. After this winter... I think next year we should start...

  • What did you do last week? 
    Ran outside every frickin day! The weather was a balmy -10 celsius and the sun has been shinning! So happy! It is snowing today, so we went to the gym this morning.
    What are your plans for this week?
    It will be 0c (32F) by the end of the week, seriously that is short weather in Canada! So I plan on a few long runs and I want to do some hill work. I have not done hill work in a few months so I am looking forward to it. I have carpal tunnel, so still no yoga for me. I am trying to do weights and other strength exercises that do not bother my wrists. 

    What's your long-term/mid-term goal?
    I really want to run a sub 2 hour half marathon so I am training with that in mind right now. 

    GTKY: What's your dream winter vacation?
    Michigan to see @tiffletons518.... or anywhere warm really. Australia is on my bucket list, so maybe one day!

  • Last week: walked a lot and around my school when ever I had a free moment. Diet only sadly.

    This week: I'm off from work so I hope to get in a couple if gym sessions in.

    Goal: tone up and get rid of the last 10. I'd love to be down 15 by the summer.

    QOTW: Hawaii. I've never been but it's on my bucket list!

  • Last week: eh. Still trying to kick the cold. Too congested to run, but was able to do sit-up and push-up challenge.

    This week: hoping to get up around 5 twice this week to workout before the boys get up. Lo is consistently only getting up once around 3 am so I can definitely do it now! Also watch what I eat again.

    Goal: last few pounds and get in good shape so I can start marathon training with some confidence come may. If I don't start in good shape by then I won't do well in my training!

    Dream winter vacation: anywhere warm. But I do also love adirondack ski lodges so lake placid is always a nice cold weather get away for me. Plus you can play like an Olympian!!

  • Last Week: Combo of Jillian/Running Weight is leveled out but I feel really good and strong!

    This week: More of the same! 

    Goal: Continue to tighten up my tummy. It really is looking better but I hate the goo! I am not used to this haha

    QOTW: anywhere warm! I have never vacationed in the winter and would love to start! I am SO OVER this snow!!!
