Is honey allowed if you cook/bake with it? We were giving DD some food at ILs and MIL remembered that she cooked the chicken with honey garlic sauce. I'm wondering if the high heat kills off the potential problem.
I wouldn't be overly concerned at this point. If you would have known prior I wouldn't have given it, but not knowing...what's done is done, I wouldn't stress. I would look up symptoms of a bad reaction to it, watch for those symptoms. That's all you can do. But I wouldn't worry myself until I'm sick over it either.
I think it's still a no- I remember something about my mom sweetening applesauce with honey instead of straight sugar, and we didn't give it to other babies in the family.

The heat isn't high enough to kill botulism spores. I wouldn't panic if I'd found out LO had something baked with honey, but I don't give it to her purposefully.
