AW: First Purchase

Finally made the first purchase for the new baby. A Deuter backpack carrier so that we can get out and do some hiking even after this one is born. I wouldn't have bought it but a friend didn't need it anymore and we got it for a very good price. Anyone still holding out on making a purchase? Or what was your first purchase for your new LO?

Woop woop! That's great! We have a keltykidz hiking backpack for DD, and love it for hikes!

We picked up a Graco Lauren crib on CL for $60 last week. I was so excited to find it, as it is almost identical to DD's Graco Charleston crib, and barely had any wear. And I also scored an Ergo at Tj Maxx for $70! I was stoked about that. I figure DH can use the keltykidz carrier on hikes with DD, and I'll carry LO in the ergo. I can't wait!!

Not nearly as practical as you ladies, but the pic below was our first purchase for LO (before we knew LO's sex). DH and I were wandering around the french quarter in New Orleans, and there were a bunch of artists selling paintings and prints around Jackson Square. We saw this and had to have it :-)

ETA: I am generally not into cartoony stuff and something like this normally wouldn't be "my style" if not for the giraffe and the perfect saying ;-)

First purchase was a Chicco travel system clearance/sign mistake at BRU. They even let us even exchange it this weekend for a purple one since the other one was navy blue

This is technically the second purchase for sweet little 2.0, but I don't have a photo of the first one!

I posted it on Facebook and of COURSE someone wanted to know: Do you know it's a boy? What if it's a girl?

Then I'll put a bow on her head and call it done, biatch! That is what I wanted to say, but what I actually said was much nicer. She's a fan of pink team jerseys and we all know how I feel about that.

Oh, and GO GRIZZ!

A bunch of clothes.. but other than that, I got a Rock n Play over the weekend, because BRU wouldn't let me take the coupon from the trade-in event home, I had to use it that day.

We loved our RNP with DD! Planning to use it again (I'm sure DS won't mind the pink flowers... :-\" ).

Haven't purchased anything for DS yet, but planning to get busy asap! $-)

I am with you on the pink jerseys thing! Our girl will wear proper team colors! (Big football fans in our house! Due to our families, I'm pretty sure our LO will need a separate drawer just for UGA, Oregon, and Seattle Seahawks gear... I think I have DH on board as a primary Seahawks fan ;-))

i purchased a couple of onesis but those were for telling Dh we were expecting. my first real purchase for baby is a box of wipes as they were on sale might as well stock up lol. We are waiting till we know the sex to purchases other things. we have had a lot of our big items given to us.

Our first purchase was a child's sized a antique rocking chair that DH found and really wanted. We are about to buy a recliner and ottoman for the nursery but other than that we haven't done anything yet.

Mine was a pink onesie that says "mommy's queen, I'm the princess, and daddy's around here somewhere." I was 10 weeks and even though we did not know what we were having I just could not resist! And congrats on your first purchase

Went and hunted through the winter clearance racks at Carter's/OshKosh on Saturday (man, does it suck not to get the full Carter's/OshKosh stores north of the border!!) and scored some cute clothes for baby boy (mostly in 6m size for next winter, but a few 3m and a newborn sleeper to bring him home from the hospital) and some winter 4T stuff for DD for next year.
