Door knob locks

The door to our basement is one of those octagonal glass door knobs, kind of like this: https://ogtstore.com/images/products/preview/l202311.jpg

Anyone know of any door knob locks that will work on that shape? We tried these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00238MEQA/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and they worked on our round door knobs, but not the octagonal ones.

    You could try the locks that go at the top of the door if you can't find one that works on those knobs.

    Oh, duh. I forgot they make locks for the top of the door. I will look at those, thanks!

    DS hasn't quite figured out door knobs yet-- but shoot, i didn't realize those door knob covers didn't work on glass knobs! our house was built in the 1930's and all of our knobs are glass. RE the basement specifically, DH just put a latch up high on the basement door (like this one).
