Sorry if this is a XP; I lost the original one.....
My doc is planning on induction at 38.5 weeks. I am a bit worried about what I've seen regarding placental insufficiency.
My plan is to start FMLA at 37 weeks.
How does this sound to you?
Thanks girls!!!

I'm pretty sure the research supports waiting until 38 weeks, and that's what my MFM recommended - between 38-39 weeks. Don't worry too much - they will be monitoring you very closely at that point but most don't make it that long!
TTC #2 since July 2010
FSH = 11 (20 on day 10 of CCCT)/ AMH = .98 / AFC=12ish
5 IUI's with oral meds = all BFN March 2012 IVF (MDL Protocol) Started stims 3/3; ER 3/11 (9R, 8M, 7F) ET 3/16 (5dt of 2 blasts graded 3AB and 3BA, 3 frosties(!!) Beta 3/26 = 386; Beta 3/28 = 827; u/s 4/11 says TWINS! Boy/Girl Twins delivered at 36 weeks 6 days
My dr plans to let me go until 37-38 weeks as well.
However, as far as working I ended up giving my notice last week at 32 weeks. I just do not have the physical stamina anymore and I am swelling like crazy with my blood pressure creeping up so the doctor is monitoring closely for Pre-eclampsia. I originally thought I would just work up until delivery, but I way overestimated how I would feel. Also my job is mostly sitting (though I do attend meetings on different floors which requires some walking around.) 37 weeks sounds like an ideal goal, but be realistic about how you feel and ready to compromise on that if you need to for health reasons.
Induction is being scheduled at my appointment this week for 38 weeks. My doctor will sign all twin moms out at 34 weeks. 34 weeks for me is a tuesday so I'll probably work the full week and maybe a few more days the next week - I only work 4 days so I might try to work the following week as well.
I'm planning a vba2c with the twins. MFM and OB are on board bc previous c sections were due to breech and baby too big to turn. I have had a VBAC once already. (I've had 4 naturally an 2 CS- 6 babies). I won't do a c/s unless medically necessary. And I'm so excited that I get a trial of labor.
I'm a SAHM; so no work advice. Im currently 36w3d and in a lot of pain; if I was working my previous desk job I most definitely would have stopped two weeks ago! My c/s is scheduled for 3/3/14. I'll be 38w2d.

My OB wanted to schedule my C section at 38 weeks, but I was able to talk her into 38.4. I stopped work at 37 weeks, although I was never put on bedrest. It just got too hard to commute and to be in a chair for 8 hours a day at that point.
I planned on working until delivery but developed high blood pressure/pre-e at 36 weeks. I also had really bad swelling. I was induced at 38 weeks but monitored every 3-4 days in that 2 week span.
My induction was planned for 38w however, I had to stop working around 33-34 weeks, I was just in too much pain - mostly from SPD. Luckily, I was able to do a little work from home reclining on the couch because that was the only position I could handle.
When I went in for my induction, my cervix was still closed and pretty long. They tried for almost 4 days to induce. I was having plenty of (mostly painless) contractions, but my cervix just was not cooperating. Finally on day 4, it started to open and we thought I could deliver, but I was not progressing very fast and LO1's heartrate started dropping so we went in for a Csection.
My OB said from the beginning she wants me on modified bed rest at 24 weeks and she would be happy if we made it to 36 weeks. I'm feeling like a wimp compared to you ladies!
Don't feel like a wimp Lulu! Carrying multiples is hard work. I was signed out of work at 24 weeks due to contractions and fainting spells. I also worked 1.5 hours away from home, so they wanted me close. I'm currently 32+3 and they will not let me go past 38 weeks. We have a scheduled csection (my choice) at 38+1. My twins have been flipping from breech to head down almost daily, so it is so hard to predict how they will be on delivery day.
Our baby boy,Logan, was born still at 19w3d on 7/1/2011 Our 2nd baby boy, Mason, was born still at 20w3d on 1/31/2012
After a much needed sanity break... we are praying for our rainbows
My c-section was scheduled for 37.3. My girls were breech so my MFM wasn't comfortable letting me go past 38 weeks. I stopped working at 35.5. I made it to my section date.
ETA: don't feel like a wimp! With all the cramping, pains, and pure exhaustion I have had thanks to my constant anemia I can't even imagine what would happen if I wasn't a SAHM. I think it's great you made it to 24 weeks working. Carrying multiples isn't easy. My OB says 36 weeks is the goal but if by some chance I make it to 38 he will deliver then.
I had a scheduled c-section at 37w6d. It was going to be 38w2d but that Monday was booked so we did Friday. (They don't schedule c-sections for the weekend.) Neither my OB or MFM thought I would make it that long, but I probably would have gone to 40w. I worked until the day before my c-section. I even waddled to an administrative proceeding in the rain three days before delivery.
