Officially on maternity leave

Thank goodness. I feel like my body is falling apart.

. Im freaking out about having two kids. Any advice, thoughts, words of wisdom to calm my nerves?

Having 2 is hard, but it will get better after you are past the newborn stage. Have some fun right now and enjoy your maternity leave!! Yay!

Ditto a lot of the things @LeahB12 said. I know it's hard to let the house, etc. go but just try to focus on taking care of yourself and your LOs. Try to find at least 10 minutes every day to read a special book or something like that with your oldest to reassure them that they are still special. In my experience with bringing home the twins, that can go a long way in preventing things from being hurled at the new baby ;-) Good luck mama!

Thanks ladies. So survival mode for at least the first few months and let the house go. Make DS feel special still with spending time with him and heart melting moments are to be expected. Perfect.

Crazy your time is almost here. Were you having complications already?? Or just to be cautious? I hope your lo stays put and cooks a while longer. I'm starting to think second time around maybe things really do change. I never thought I would make it this far but so far so good. Have no advice..still use to only having one low. Scary to think I will have two soon as well. I am thinking the biggest hurrdle with be not picking up our toddler. Seriously how do people do that? And just finding the time between feedings and sleep to make DS feel just as much love??

imoverit I'm just curious are you able to take care of DS? Or are you on bedrest??

@mcgeeva. Im on modified rest, light activity. My mom watches DS most of the time with me around. My braxton hicks had increased and now I think I may have SPD. My pubic bone hurts so bad I can hardly walk. Maternity leave was a precaution and because I literally feel like my body is falling apart. Baby is good though. Oh and I dont lift DS who is 2 1/2. We have rigged things to help him get up and down from things. That has helped a lot but I miss picking him up. Now i just cuddle him on the couch.
