Driving Mr. Daisy

For the love of pete please tell me there is someone else out there with a LO who still cannot get thru the night without waking up multiple times. Bless his little heart. I know he's not going to be like this forever but holy cats I am losing my cool.

  • I'm kinda new but know a lot of people had LO's who didn't sleep much, didn't know if you all were still dealing with it. Just been having a really tough time with it lately.
  • R has never STTN. Ever.
  • Still waking up a few times per night here too.

  • I think maybe Madison has slept through the night 3 times in her whole 9 months and I'm using that term loosely.

  • My LO has STTN only a  few time and one time was after a surgery so I'm sure that had to do with the meds.  My guy usually wakes up 3 times a night. Lately it's been more but I think that's because his top teeth are coming in.
  • N@ has never slept through the night. She doesn't even attempt. I need to sleep train or something, but by the end of the day I am so tired I just push it off. I don't think I really mind anymore though. I have just adapted.
  • DD is up at least 2x a night usually many more then that.

  • Thanks for your responses. While I'm certainly not happy you guys aren't getting sleep either, it is nice to know we're not alone :)
  • We average two wake ups (and nursing/soothing sessions) a night.  On bad nights more, on the rare amazing nights just one...  STTN?  what is that?

  • We have now moved on to him waking suddenly and scared about every two hours and can't get back to sleep in his crib afterwards...so here comes the co-sleeping. However he will throw a curveball at us and do a five hour stretch maybe once a week. I think we're going to try to do the mattress on the floor deal a la Montessori-style, see if that makes a difference.
  • I don't know how to officially edit... We aren't against co-sleeping, we're just trying to find the best solution out there for us so we're trying different approaches.
  • My LO STTN from week 6 to month 3. Since month 3 until 9, she's only STTN twice on her own. If we cosleep, then she wakes up maybe once.  She just got over a fever, so she has been waking up every hour or so....
  • 4 wakeups is a good night for us.
