LO hates my BIL

OK kind of an odd question here but has anyone had an issue with their LO having a major aversion to a person? Any time Adeline sees my brother-in-law she cries. Not like a little fussy sob, but full on screaming/crying/hyperventilating. My sister and him have a daughter who is 2 weeks older than Addie so we see him pretty frequently and this has just started the past 4 or 5 times she's seen him. She is fine if he doesn't look at her or talk to her and actually will stare at him when he's not paying attention but the second he tries to interact she loses it. He doesn't have any weird facial hair or glasses or anything out of the ordinary and I don't know how to help her be okay with him!

    our LO has pretty bad stranger anxiety.  We don't see my family too often so this may not be quite the same but my sister can't look at LO without her crying.  She doesn't like anyone in my family really holding her but if my sister holds her or even looks at her she starts sobbing.  Totally strange but I think its completely normal

    My LO doesn't like his nana (SO's mom) but he usually warms up to her after we're there for a while, but still doesn't want to be held by her.

    The only person Noah has had any sort of "aversion" to is his old pedi. He didn't cry or anything, he would just become super stoic and give her suspicious looks when she touched him. Granted, I think most of that is because he sensed my dislike for her.

    No weird smell, doesn't smoke and she has never had a bad experience with him.  He is a SAHD to his daughter (her cousin) and kids usually love him!  I have tried to just comfort her when she is around him and reassure her that I trust him but last night she started screaming crying and hyperventilating.  The only other time she has ever cried that hard was when I dropped a cup of water on her head in the middle of the night while she was nursing!

    We have severe stranger anxiety going on here too, but not to one specific person.. Seems like everyone ( except dh and I)

    It just takes time. Ds1 had trouble around my mom when he was this age and now he is obsessed with her. My mom used to get so upset because she thought her grandbaby didn't like her. It was so sad. Now he bawls hysterically when he leaves her because he wants to always be around her. I'm sure lo will adore bil in a few months!

    DD does not like my grandma. She tries to avoid her touch. My grandma does not notice. When I was a baby I also did not like my grandma. I would scream on the top of my lungs when she was around. My mother thinks it is her voice.

    I remember my nephew crying every time my brother (his uncle) would hold him. He did grow out of it though.

    My niece had this, as well.
    I think older people can sometimes look a little scary to babies.

    LO does this with my brother. I think it's because my brother would be loud when trying to play with LO and it scared him. He also did this briefly with my FIL because he was also loud, but he's been better about it.
