Hi everyone! My twin girls are just about 3 1/2 months and I am curious for those of you who already had 4 month shots if your babies had the same reactions as they did after their two month shots? Thanks in advance!
DS did better with his 4m shots and even smiled at the nurse after. He was was not as sleepy and didn't cry during diaper changes. Overall 4 month shots were a much better experience
No feedback from me. We arent quite there yet. But those responses are So nice to hear. We go for my son's 4 month appt on Monday. I'm terrified. lol. He was so unhappy the day/night he got his 2 month shots. I think my heart will literally break if i have to see him like that again.
My son was much less cranky and did not swell up in his legs like he did at 2 months. He also slept the majority of the day, where as at his 2 month shots, he was up all-night- long. I think maybe he can tolerate the vaccines more because he already had them before. Not sure... Just a theory.
DD1 was just as miserable after her 4 month shots as she was at 2 months, and it has continued on for every vax she's ever gotten. She's had a reaction every time.
DD2 was much better after her 4 month shots than after her 2 month shots.
My LO had a lot harder time with her four month shots. Two month shots were a breeze, four month shots she was cranky and irritable, definitely a Tylenol night.
Both times she slept for a few hours after and was fairly happy. The difference was with the 4 month she got a small bump that looked like a bite on one of her legs. It showed u the day after and was gone a day or two after that but she didn't get it the first time.
She had less crying directly after the shots in the office, and slept on the ride home (40+ mins). She got the shots around 10 am and around 1 pm she had a bout of bad, bad crying that lasted 1 hr. We gave her the recommended dose of Tylenol and she calmed down and fell asleep with an occasional sad sob. I actually called the Dr. because the type of crying was so distressing-- they said her legs probably hurt and to apply cold compresses. The rest of the day she was kind of fussy (same reaction as 2 mo shots) and had some spit up. That night she was also fussy and I gave her a second dose of Tylenol. The next day she was fine. I hate the days when she gets shots!
Mine was much worse after 4 months than she was for 2 months. Just had 6 month today + flu shot....After the 4 month experience, we have been giving Tylenol to be proactive.
