Every Day Dishes

Where did you get yours?
We have had ours for 8 years; we got them from Crate and Barrel, but they need replaced. DH just wants me to go back to Crate and Barrel, but I wanted to do some "research" first. Also, is 8 years a good length of time for dishes to last?

    Fiestaware!! Love all the colors. I'm a big mix & match person. So I have all different colors of plates & bowls. I got them at Macys, for Christmas, & off amazon!

    We have a basic white set of 8 from target. They are white and I love them.
    Hallelujah, it's a miracle, I have children AND a signature!

    Another Fiestaware here. I have mix and match colors so if they discontinued a color when I need more it will be nbd.

    I really like our crate and barrel dishes as well.  They of course look nice, but I also like that they are made in France.

    Noritake Colorwave.  

    Before that I had Corelle for about 15 years but they started to crack and chip.  I'd say I more than got my money out of them.  I love my Noritake.  Had it about 4 years now and still going strong.   My friend has the same set and had it 5-6 years and it's still beautiful.

    We have Corelle. We've had them for almost 9 years, and they're still in great shape. Whenever we need to replace them, I'll get Corelle again.

    O have pottery barn dishes O got when I got married 7.5 years ago. They're beautiful! I still think of them as fairly new and wouldn't consider replacing them in the foreseeable future. Not sure how long I expect to have them, but I would assume at least 15 years based on how they've held up over 7.5 years and 5 moves.

    We have Corelle. I have 12 place settings of Fiestaware in storage in the basement. I loved the look but they are huge, heavy and take up way too much space in the cabinet. I love the Corelle!

    I have the Mikasa Swirl set and really love them. I ordered them from BB&B. I have the square ones because the round ones were too big for my cupboards! I've had them since last summer now and they've held up great so far.

    Ours are a Gibson brand. They're plain white with raised "dots" or whatever around the edges. I think they're perfect for dressing up during the holidays and great for just normal dinners.

    We have 2 sets, both from target. Had them for almost 7 years and almost just as many moves (sad, but true), and still have all but 1 piece, magically. They're sturdy.

    Ours are also from C&B and I love them!  Classic, simple white, and great quality.  I had PB ones previous to what we have now (wedding gifts) and I really did not like the PB ones at all.  Chipped badly, too large to have the dinner plates fit in our cabinets, and would get extremely hot in the microwave.

    We have two different crate and barrel sets, and the one set has not held up (have had them for 7 years). We have one bowl left, and only a few small dinner plates. Everything else has chipped or broken. The set we have that's porcelain has held up better. I think I'm going to just get a new set from a resale/vintage shop, I'm guessing the old stuff holds up just as well.

    Ours are Corelle, I got them at Walmart three years ago. I can't imagine having anything else now - they're so light, and stack so nicely in the cabinet because they're thin.

    Mine are Dansk. My color is discontinued but they have held up well for 7 years. Only a couple broke when my dog got his collar caught on the dishwasher rack and slung dishes around my kitchen. It was sad and hilarious. :p
