I posted on a recent PGAL check-in that we're expecting again, due in October. I reluctantly decided today to check out the Oct 14 board. I always refrain from commenting on posts that bother me or those that I know are only going to stir up trouble.
I clicked on a post about someone who is nervous for doing a few no-nos in her 2ww. And a few people had the nerve to make fun of her for being worried! They continued by saying she shouldn't worry because they had several drinks during their 2ww (one even knowingly got drunk).
I just couldn't bite my tongue. I responded and told the OP that beg worries are completely justified and that even women like me who abstain from these things can't bring home a baby.
Now I feel stupid for letting my emotions get the best of me. I am just so terrified of losing another pregnancy. I take such good care of myself and I do everything I'm supposed to do, but that doesn't take away the worry.
Sorry for the rambling. I just feel awful now. I feel awful mostly because I am once again reminded that some people out there make bad choices and still bring home a baby.
Hope you're all doing okay

Oh, Jessica, I'm sorry you feel that way, but I'm proud of you for saying something. I lurk A LOT on my BMB but don't post much, mostly for the same reason. However, there are sometimes where I feel the need to speak up and say something. And it's those times I hope the OP takes some comfort in what I say...
But I totally get your thoughts... I posted a thread in my BMB for moms carrying ID twins (we seem to have a lot of twins in my BMB) to start getting U/S to check for TTTS starting at 16 weeks (something I was never told to do...) and NO ONE responded. It just felt really strange, like no one cared, but I'm hoping it sparked at least one person to consider it.
Hugs!
@jalara48- I'm not really sure what your purpose is for linking the post from the Oct 14, but I'm not trying to hide anything. I stand by my opinion that drinking while intentionally trying to get pregnant is irresponsible. I don't have to "play" victim, as you seem to think. I have been through hell and back, and it hurts deeply to read others ridiculing an innocent person who has justifiable concerns about her actions while ttc. I am not one to start petty, childish fights with people whom I've never met. But it hits a nerve when someone who is blessed with children lives by the motto "drink 'til it's pink." Based on your signature, I would think you'd be more understanding. At the end of the day, we all have one goal. And we each take a different path to get there.
I am finished with this post. @jalara48 I wish you luck with your pregnancy. However, the nature of this board is free of drama. I will be happy to discuss further issues with you via PM.
