DH & I read this book a few years ago after our therapist suggested it. We were in a rough patch & it really helped us understand what was important to the other.

My top 2 are physical touch & words of affirmation. DH's are acts of service & words of affirmation.
Eta: I'm in no way affiliated with this...just thought it would be fun
Re: What's your love language?
There is also a Love Languages for Childten book that I read before even getting pregnant. I initially read it to help me understand my students better but also for our future LO's.
awesome read for parents. I think it will really help with toddler years and beyond.
I read the adult book several times. I noticed the first time I read it when we were having issues & I really took In everything that applied to myself, more so than DH. The second time we were in a really good spot & I picked up more on things for him...different perspectives.
I've also noticed your language can change. (I think the book mentions this). Back then mine was quality time, now touch & words are higher than time...pre lo vs post lo changes I guess?
Acts of service was low but I think that's bc MH does so much for our family. I don't wish he do more but I do very much appreciate how much he does.
Yes, there is a separate kid book. I plan to read it again soon!

Quality time was my top with words of affirmation & physical touch tied for 2nd.
I 100% agree with QT and words of affirmation!
I'm tied on acts of service and physical touch. With quality time and words of affirmation bringing up the rear.
Sounds about right for me. I'll have DH take this later.
