IVF with high fsh and low estrogen

Hi I'm 30 years old with diminished ovarian reserve0.3 with slightly high fsh and low estrogen. I have used this blog for other questions and have gotten helpful responses from women that have or going through the same thing. This question is for any women that have had up and down fsh and estrogen levels and have had success with IVF with their own eggs?... I'm going to see my doctor on Tuesday to discuss our option of IVF. I did an iui last month but was unsuccessful. I was on bravelle and had 3 out of 9 follicles were growing but only one that was to the fullest number when I did the trigger shot. I also wanted to know what are some questions I should ask the doctor that might help us. Any stories or responses would be awesome thank you!

Hi, I'm sorry you find yourself here. Most of the ladies on this board, including myself, are doing IVF and are TTC #1. You should look at PAIF (Pregnant after IF) and SAIF (Success after IF) if you are looking for success stories. If you're looking for a support system of other women going through the same process as you, then you found the right board! Good luck at your appointment on Tuesday!

Hey @Erinmae23 - Just wondering, did you have your Vitamin D levels checked? Some studies are showing a correlation between Vit D and AMH. I know I was originally deficient in Vit D and once I got mine up my AMH went up 0.3 ... When you have low AMH every little rise counts. Good luck!

I did not find success with my own eggs and we moved on to a donor. That doesn't mean there isn't a good egg still in there but at my age(36 almost 37), previous losses etc.. We just had to move on after 2 years and an obscene amount of money spent. We knew we could only afford one more IVF and we wanted the very best odds. It is a very personal decision and it took us a LONG time with a lot of failures along the way to be ok with it. It was hard. If I were younger ( and had more money) I would have at least tried another time or two. Just wasn't in the cards for us.

I had higher FSH and low AMH and got pregnant on my third IVF cycle. I never had a great response. But, apparently it was good enough. I was 33 years old for my successful cycle.

I am very interested in your journey. I too have slightly elevated FSH and low estrogen. My FSH has been anywhere from 7.9 (lowest) to 10.3 (highest). My fsh is borderline high (highest was 10.1 but normally around 9) and my E2 is around 25 at baseline. My AFC and AMH are pretty high, though. I did get pregnant with an unmedicated IUI last march but that ended in a Blighted Ovum. I did my first IVF in Jan - 22 eggs retrieved but only 8 were mature so I think my numbers have to do with an maturity issue.

I'm 27 and also have high fsh. It's really overwhelming to hear that kind of news. I first found out my fsh was abnormally elevated at 25. Wasn't what I expected to hear! I've heard all kinds of things about supplements and diet changes. I've also heard that there really isn't any dietary changes that really help. My first IVF is in about a month and a half. I'm really hoping for a first time positive! Good luck! I don't really know of anyone else my age who have such high fsh.
